𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗰𝘂𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 🧠

New research has looked at heading in soccer and the brain. While it raises important questions, the message for our community is clear: 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝘆 𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲, 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝘆 𝘀𝗮𝗳𝗲, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗸𝗻𝗼𝘄 𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝘁𝗼 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗳 ⚽️

SASMA’s tips for staying active and concussion safe 👇

✅ Be fit and strong – good general fitness and neuromuscular training lowers injury risk.

✅ Play by the rules – fair play reduces dangerous contact.

✅ Manage your load – avoid unnecessary repetitive heading, especially in training.

✅ Perfect your technique – safe heading comes from good skill development.

✅ Know the signs – headache, dizziness, confusion, balance problems.

✅ If in doubt, sit it out – and follow return-to-sport protocols.

Staying active is one of the best things you can do for your long-term health. With smart prevention and awareness, you can enjoy the game safely 🏃🏻‍♀️
