Did you know?

In Australia an average of eight people take their own lives every day; that’s one every three hours. (Anglicare SA website).

With this in mind, our project aims to be part of the conversations and community learning that addresses stigma, explores distress and promotes messages of hope, community education and connects people to help, support services and communities that care and are equipped to offer support.

Updates- Community Courses and training in July and August:

This weekend the MariposaTeam has been involved in online training with our mentor Gaynor Hicks, who has over 20 years experience working in the Su***de Prevention area.

The Mariposa Team are being mentored to deliver Su***de First Aid in Spanish which can be shared over many platforms, for Professional Development, for organisations, committees, faith groups, sporting, social, religious, media, youth, cultural groups etc..

During August we will be delivering our session on - Knowing the voice of Lived Experience, we would like to thank and acknowledge the support of The City of Salisbury who has kindly connected us to the Pines Community Centre and facilitated a venue. Other topics to be offered as part of our community courses include well being and resilience, from helpless to hopeful (a su***de prevention course) and dealing with challenging situations. These courses will be delivered in Spanish. Here are the details of our upcoming course Knowing the voice of Lived Experience:
