Thinking about using a TENS machine in labour? 💭

Our nurse Anna explains how a TENS (Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation) machine works, who it may be suitable for and why so many mums use it for pain relief during labour.

After welcoming a beautiful little girl, Dr Sophie will be back in the ASHFORD clinic from 5th March 2026 🗓️

❗️She will be available for these 1hr appointments ONLY: Lactation, Unsettled Infant Behaviour, Infant Sleep, Poor Weight Gain for Infants, & Tongue Tie Assessments❗️

If you are seeking an appointment for another reason (other than what’s listed above), bookings are available with our other GPs.

The 9th - 16th of February is Nutrition Australia National Lunch Box Week, here at AMBC we want to shout out to all those who work hard to fill lunchboxes five days a week!

We understand that some mornings a lunch has been prepared the night before, with cut up produce and left overs, and other mornings when life is getting too hard the lunch box is a brown banana and a jam sandwich. We celebrate being fed, however that looks like for you and your family.

Breastfeeding & Drinking Alcohol - all you need to know this Christmas 🥂

🚨 Inadequate parenting is the biggest risk to your baby when drinking alcohol - not the alcohol in your breastmilk. Cosleeping/bedsharing is unsafe if either parent has been drinking.
