We are back 🎉 Lots of exciting things have been happening whilst MIA from socials.

Let's kick it off with a throwback to last Friday where our in-house psychotherapist / counsellor presented part two of trauma informed care.

"Too many sultanas next to my TV!"

Functional writing means writing stuff for real life situations! 

Our focus this time was writing meaningful messages to be understood by mum. 

Sabrina* came to session wanting to practice writing actual and potential text messages to her mum. Some weeks we type and some weeks we write - it's up to her!

She also wanted to practice words for her diary to remind herself what to bring on outings, and then end with something funny that happened cause we love to laugh!  

She came up with all the messages (very important) and we had lots of fun and laughs over "too many sultanas next to my TV", because when there are too many sultanas in one's cereal bowl they just gotta go!

Always so proud of her efforts, and that smile says it all too! 🌺💐

Don't forget your focus in sessions!
Everyone has their own focus and goals. We didn't want perfect spelling and grammar, she wanted to be understood and have fun doing it!
