💪 𝗦𝗧𝗥𝗢𝗡𝗚𝗘𝗥 𝗧𝗢𝗚𝗘𝗧𝗛𝗘𝗥 💪
"STRONGER TOGETHER" is a weekly column where IMPACT Community Services Managing Director, Tanya O'Shea, explores key issues. This week Tanya discusses the importance of prioritising women’s health during Women’s Health Week by encouraging women to “Say Yes to You” through regular check-ups, self-care, and open conversations about wellbeing.

"Saying yes to yourself might look like booking that appointment, speaking up about pain, or carving out time to rest. It’s not selfish, it’s essential."

Wear it Purple Day is a national movement that began in response to the bullying and harassment of LGBTQIA+ young people. It now shines a light on inclusion, visibility, and pride, reminding rainbow youth they are seen, respected, and celebrated — not just today, but every day.

Today, IMPACT Community Services joins thousands of schools, workplaces, and community organisations across Australia in wearing purple to celebrate and support LGBTQIA+ youth.

Together, we’re helping build a future where every young person feels safe, empowered, and proud of who they are and who they’re becoming.

"STRONGER TOGETHER" is a weekly column where IMPACT Community Services Managing Director, Tanya O'Shea, explores key issues. This week Tanya discusses the importance of recognising International Self-Care Day as a reminder that self-care is a continuous, everyday commitment to nurturing our wellbeing, physically, emotionally, socially, and professionally, so we can better support ourselves and those around us.

"The more we give to others, the more essential it becomes to give back to ourselves. As the saying goes, 'You can’t pour from an empty cup.' Self-care is the foundation that allows us to show up fully – for our families, our teams, and our communities."
