Sorry for the late message, but we just wanted to say a huge thank you to all our customers, fishers and suppliers for such an incredible Easter weekend and start to the school holidays!

We went into this period feeling a bit uncertain. With the pressure everyone’s under and Agnes being a long way to travel with fuel prices the way they are, we didn't really know what to expect this year. Frankly, we were worried we'd be hugely overstocked!

But the turnout was overwhelming, and we’re so grateful for the support through what we know is a tricky time for many.

Thursday brought an amazing turnout from locals and, on Friday, we saw so many of our regular visitors return again this year and come straight to see us — it definitely didn’t go unnoticed. And hearing so many people talk about supporting local and being mindful of the challenges the fuel crisis brings for small businesses was pretty special.

We’re feeling very grateful for the support. A little tired and weary now, of course, but so grateful.

We also wanted to let people know early that, after the school holidays, we’ll be taking a planned 4-week break from 23 April to 17 May.

Everything is running as normal until then, so come in over the next couple of weeks to stock up. We’ll have plenty of 5kg boxes of prawns on board and lots of fresh fish so you can fill the freezer.

We have re-stocked and ready for another big day!

Along with fish, sand crabs were super popular yesterday so have plenty on board again!

More fresh prawns, bugs and oysters and a fully re-stocked freezer full of green prawns, squid, mussels, scallop meat and more.

Finally the weather clears up and we have some reef fish on board today!

Next week is going to be huge and we will be fully stocked with prawns, bugs, sand crabs, oysters and loads of fish for your Easter plans. No orders this year so come in early to get your favourites!

Hi All,

Easter is just around the corner and we’ll be open every day across the long weekend, from Thursday, 2 April - Monday, 6 April inclusive.

The past six months have been some of the most challenging in our 10 years of trading. From prawn shortages before Christmas to ongoing poor weather both for fishing and trading, cyclones, flooding and now fuel prices, it’s been a doozy of a year.

Seafood supply is currently limited and prices are increasing and highly variable. This is due to both weather conditions and fishers holding off while fuel prices remain high.

We’re determined to keep trading, but you may notice more variation in pricing than usual, and may see some prices increase. We’ve always aimed to keep our prices as fair as possible and below market - particularly on our fish - and we’ll continue to do what we can to keep seafood accessible and affordable.

As a result, we have made the difficult decision to temporarily pause online ordering. All existing orders will be honoured.

For now, it will be walk-in sales with board pricing. We will make sure to have lots of stock on board each day over Easter but we recommend coming early in the day to avoid disappointment.

With the recent flooding, including in Bundaberg, we have made the decision to close this week.

Thankfully, all our suppliers are safe and well, so we’ll be back to normal trading on 19 March.

LATE START TODAY

Apologies for the late notice - we arrived at the servo this morning to find the power is out.

We checked with Ampol yesterday but it seems they didn't know that the servo would be out either.

Hoping all our prep work isn't going to go to waste so, as soon as power is restored, we’ll head straight down and get set up.

Just a little appreciation post as we head towards our week off…

Over the last few months, some of our long-term customers have moved away and, this week, a couple of our much-loved regulars let us know they’ll be leaving soon - one indefinitely and one for the next year. We’re obviously not going to announce your business on Facebook, but you know who you are 💙

We always appreciate you telling us (because we do worry when we don’t see our regulars!), but, wow, we’re really going to miss you!

Thank you for all the support over the years. We’re so lucky to now have so many new, incredible customers too, but we never forget those who’ve been coming back year after year and keeping us in business.

And while it might seem like a small thing but to everyone who comes in with their gold coins, thank you! Keeping the cash tin stocked is surprisingly difficult over the holidays! 😆

So, thank you to all our customers, suppliers and fishers for supporting us as we head into our 10th year in business - for all the laughs and all the fun.

We’re sure 2026 will bring some new and exciting things. For now, we need a few days to sleep off the holidays 😁
