Whitsunday Prosocial Support Services My name is Shae Patterson and I am the Directory of Whitsunday Prosocial Support Services.

Independent support workers assisting NDIS, non-NDIS, and age care clients who are self-managed or plan-managed, with a range of different services tailored to the individual participant We are independent support workers, working with children and adults alike of all ages. Along with my team at Whitsunday Prosocial,we aim to support those and their families in the local community with any help they may need with achieving their goals. Qualifications:
- Cert III in Education Support
- CHCEDS434A - Provide support to students with autism spectrum disorder
- University of Canberra, Lessons 1-8 in Disability Standards for Education
- Chi.L.D Association Certificate of Completion – Self-regulation and Positive Behaviour Support
- Working with Children Blue Card
-NDIS workers screening check (yellow card)
- Current First Aid & CPR
- Fully vaccinated against Covid-19

I am a long term local resident of the Whitsundays. A qualified, experienced and passionate teacher aide to school-aged children in the Whitsunday region, I have worked at St Catherine’s Catholic College since 2012. My daily duties involve assisting primary school age children with their education and social development. Support Services we can offer include:

Core - Assistance with Daily Life
This support category relates to assisting with or supervising personal tasks of daily life to enable the participant to live as autonomously as possible. These supports are provided individually to participants and can be provided in a range of environments, including the participant’s own home. Core - Assistance with Social, Economic and Community Participation
This support category relates to assisting with or supervising a participant to engage in community, social, recreational or economic activities. These supports can be provided in a range of environments, such as in the community or a centre. Capacity Building - Increased Social and Community Participation
The supports in this support category allow participants to take part in skills-based learning to develop independence in accessing the community. Capacity Building - Improved Relationships
Working alongside practioners and to continue to implement Positive Behaviour Supports as stated in their support plans. Respite care for all ages - Day and night including sleep overs

SW EB had her back as she tackled her learners test to earn those L plates, made some awesome memories at Cedar Creek Falls, and enrolled in the Skills for Education and Employment Program at Tafe (SEE) - yep, she's basically a certified genius now thanks to free gov training, talk about a brainiac in the making, she's got this, she's on a roll!

Mr 🧑🏻 shoutout (A must read 💯 💪🏼🌟)

It's with pleasure and pride that we share the amazing achievements of Mr 🧑🏻 over the past 12 months.

Mr 🧑🏻 along with his SW Jessie and Coral Sea Resort Manager Ricky competed in the Airlie Beach Triathlon as part of the Coral Sea Marina Resort Airlie Beach Triathlon Festival Team. He raced in the swimming first leg setting the team up for a great race, rocketing the team into an amazing headstart due to his advanced swimming ability. Second leg on the bike was completed by SW Jessie followed by Ricky on the final running leg. The team took out the gold 🥇 winning 🏆 1st place overall in the team event standard distance. This has led to a passion for triathlons for the superstar and he has been training hard ever since. Mr 🧑🏻 has shed an outstanding 20kg in the process and through managing his own money he has purchased his own bike, runners, gadgets and everything in-between. He has shown he is very strong mentally and has progressed with his training in huge amounts in just a few months.

Mr 🧑🏻 has successfully secured and maintained an after-school hours job as well as becoming an entrepreneur by creating and promoting his own business "The lawn and Leash". Mr 🧑🏻 is passionate about fishing and has been reeling in the big ones. He has also learnt to catch, prepare and cook mud crab.

Mr 🧑🏻 also obtained his learners licence as well as turning into a very polite and well matured young man. We could not be any prouder to have this absolute legend on Team Prosocial. We can't wait to see what he brings to the table in 2026. Sky's the limit!
