🌟 A Day in the Park with Paul & Mr H 🌳😊

Yesterday was a picture-perfect day for TLC Support Worker Paul and our incredible client Mr H, who spent the day together at the park — enjoying the sunshine, sharing laughs, and making memories. ☀️🍃

Paul and Mr H have been together for several years now, and their bond is nothing short of inspiring. It’s the kind of relationship built on trust, consistency, and genuine care — the true foundation of what we believe support work is all about. 💙

Mr H is one of those people who brings joy wherever he goes. He has a personality that lights up the room — or in this case, the whole park! With his infectious smile and gentle spirit, he reminds us all to slow down, enjoy the moment, and find happiness in the little things. 🧡

As Paul says, “Even if I’m having a rough day, a shift with Mr H turns it all around.” 🙌

We’re so proud of the meaningful connections our TLC team builds every day — and this beautiful partnership between Paul and Mr H is a shining example of that. 💫

☀️ Meet Georgia Don – Cannonvale Support Worker ☀️

We’re so proud to shine a light on Georgia, an incredibly kind, passionate, and dedicated member of our support team. With many years of experience in disability support work and having been with us for almost three years, Georgia brings warmth, compassion, and professionalism to everything she does.

Currently studying a Bachelor of Social Work, Georgia continues to grow both personally and professionally – and we couldn’t be prouder of her commitment to learning and her passion for making a difference.

We are absolutely thrilled to share a little joy from our beautiful client, Miss L, who recently went on a holiday with her Independent Support Worker (can you guess where? 😜) and couldn’t wait to show us all her photos! 📸🌞

Seeing her beaming with pride and excitement as she shared each moment was something special. This trip wasn’t just a holiday — it was a milestone. A celebration of how far she’s come, how much confidence she’s gained, and how fully she’s embracing life.

Hello to our amazing TLC community,

I’m excited to let you know that a date has now been set for our Eco Barge Clean Seas Guided Tour at the HQ Education Centre – it will be held on Tuesday, 30th September from 10:00am – 11:30am at Jubilee Pocket. We’d love for you to join us!

To help us finalise numbers and make sure everyone is supported, could you please let me know by this Friday if you’d like to attend, and if you require any support (including transport) on the day. This way we can ensure everything is booked and organised for you.

It’s going to be a fantastic experience, with plenty to learn about the Great Barrier Reef, marine life, and protecting our oceans, plus a visit to the Sea Turtle Rescue Centre.

✨ Catch-up #1: Taila from TLC enjoyed a lovely coffee with Shae from Whitsunday Prosocial Support Services
✨ Catch-up #2: Josie from TLC had the pleasure of meeting up with Sarah from Nurse Next Door Home Care Services.

TLC has had a long-standing relationship with both of these incredible organisations, and we’re so grateful for the amazing women (and team) behind them. Both services provide outstanding care and support across the Mackay and Whitsundays, including In-Home & Community Support (and more!).

It’s always a pleasure to connect, share, and strengthen partnerships. We love celebrating collaboration within our community—it’s through these strong partnerships that we can continue to create positive outcomes for the people we all support. 💙

🌊🐢 Exciting News for Our TLC Community! 🐢🌊

We’re thrilled to share that Eco Barge CleanSeas is running guided tours at their HQ Education Centre every Tuesday from 10:00am – 11:30am at Jubilee Pocket—and we’d love for our wonderful clients, staff, and families to join us!

While we haven’t locked in a specific day yet, let us know what works best for you. For our Cannonvale and Mackay clients, we can also organise support staff if needed—even just for transport.

💙 TLC will cover the full cost of the tour, including entry fees and snacks, as a thank you for being your amazing selves!

On the tour, you’ll get to:
• Explore the Eco HQ Education Centre 🏛️
• Learn about the Great Barrier Reef 🐠
• Discover marine debris & recycling education ♻️
• Visit the Sea Turtle Rescue Centre 🐢
• Take part in a live recycling demonstration with hands-on activities ✨

♿ The centre is wheelchair accessible (please note the entry road is gravel).

Protecting our seas is vital—for marine life, our communities, and the planet! 🌎 This is a fun, interactive, and educational experience where we can all learn how to make a difference.
