Please be mindful and do not abuse security or venue staff - they are following the restriction laws!
Under stage 3, all businesses can open in line with the COVID Safe Framework. This means they must operate under:
➡️an approved COVID Safe Plan, or
➡️ where a business elects not to operate under an Approved
Plan – an applicable COVID Safe Checklist, for a maximum of 50 people.
Changes that come into effect from 3 July allow:
✅ all businesses to have 1 person per 4 square metres on their
premises, unless your venue is under 200sqm. Smaller venues with a floor space of less than 200 sqm can have up to 1 person per 2 sqm, to a maximum total of 50 patrons at a time.
✅patrons to order, pay, eat and drink at the bar
✅gaming or gambling venues to operate in compliance with an approved COVID Safe Industry Plan
✅adult entertainment and nightclubs to operate under a new checklist in the Queensland Hotels and Clubs Industry COVID Safe Plan. Nightclub dancefloors must remain closed.
The physical distancing rule of 1.5m still applies.
