June 14 is World Blood Donor Day, raising awareness for the need of safe blood products and thank the voluntary, unpaid donors for their life-saving gift of blood.
The Australian Red Cross Lifeblood accepts blood, plasma, platelet and breast milk donations, as well as organ and tissue donations.
