School is back, and so are our Positive Birth and Beyond meet-ups! 🎉 I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and New Year break.
Our next PPB meet-up is happening on Saturday, 22nd February at 9:30 AM. Let’s make the most of this beautiful weather and meet at Middleton Beach—with Three Anchors as our backup plan if the weather isn’t on our side.

Proposed insurance changes could affect your choice to birth at home under the care of a midwife from July 2025.

Do you fall into any of these categories;
👉 VBACs
👉 women of colour
👉 mums over 40
👉 IVF mums
👉women in larger bodies

Homebirth Australia are asking for the below survey to be completed to help influence these proposed changes to ensure your CHOICE isn't limited by a label.

The Federal Government recently announced plans to offer insurance for "low risk" homebirths. Right now, there is no insurance available for midwives during homebirths. Since 2010, there has been an exemption allowing midwives to assist with homebirths without insurance for the actual birth. This me...

✨ Hello everyone! ✨

I'm Nadia, and I'm thrilled to announce that I'll be stepping into the role of facilitator for the Albany Positive Birth and Beyond monthly meet-ups. It's an honour to take on this responsibility and continue the empowering work that this community stands for.

For the past seven years, I've worn many hats - as a doula, childbirth educator, and somatic coach. Alongside these roles, I've embraced the beautiful journey of motherhood, adding the title of "mother of two" to my credentials.

As I step into this role, I want to express my gratitude to Jade Platt for her dedication, holding space within this community for the last few years. While I'll be leading the meet-ups moving forward, rest assured that Jade will always be encouraged back whenever
she's available, alongside an exciting list of guest speakers I have coming up!

I'm looking forward to connecting with each of you and creating meaningful experiences together. Let's continue to support and empower each other on this journey of positive birth and beyond! 💖
