We’re proud to be part of the Dandjoo Koort Homelessness Event on Wednesday 6 August, 9am–3pm at Retravision Stadium organised by Southern Aboriginal Corporation.

This powerful community day includes:
✨ Lived experience speakers
✨ Reflections from Elders
✨ Free lunch & vaccinations
✨ Over 20 support services
✨ Housing support letters
✨ Food hamper giveaways & op shop vouchers
✨ Free shuttle bus (📞 9842 7777 for pickup)

Come have a yarn, grab a feed, connect with support, and learn more about what’s available in your community. We’ll be there to chat mental health, share info, and support young people wherever they're at.

A collection of works by noongar artists of the Southwest region.

This exhibition is a tribute to our elders, our families, and our ancestors. Throughout history our cultural practices and traditions were prohibited even outlawed in society.

We present a journey through history with a display of our cultural practices through art and crafts.

In gratitude of the strength and resilience of our ancestors to preserve our culture and traditional for future generations.

THANK YOU to Albany Roller Derby League for impressively smashing out 11,486 push-ups and raising funds to support youth mental health in the Great Southern 💪💥💚.

What an incredible effort! 🎉 Our team of Pusher-Upperers officially wrapped up our push-up challenge today, and we're thrilled to announce we collectively crushed over 11,000 push-ups!

This challenge was a fantastic way to stay active, talk about mental health, and push our limits.

Huge thanks to everyone who participated and contributed to this amazing achievement! special thanks to our Wellbeing Officer, Golden Stef, for bringing us all together for this challenge . 💪

Blank Walls celebration night! ✨️🎶🎉

Monday night was the finale event for Blank Walls, headspace Albany's longest running community engagement project involving a:
⭐️ Youth art competition on the themes of "Hope" and "Connection"
🎨 School holiday workshops
🖼 Youth art exhibition with community’s choice voting
🏆 Awards ceremony and open night for community at headspace Albany

We responded to your feedback about the blank walls in the centre and are excited to now permanently display beautiful artworks that acknowledge local young artists and their stories. These are the winning artworks, however many young people participated in the competition and we thank you all for your vulnerability in entering.

Thanks to all who have been part of the Blank Walls journey including the young artists, their supportive family and friends, the City of Albany Arts & Culture Team and our youth headspace Advisory Committee (hAC) 💚.

We invite you to stop by the centre to take a look for yourself and be prepared to be inspired. Feel free to bring a family member, friend or colleague! 🥰
