Buddhism in Daily Life
Tuesday 11th of June 7:30PM
The Space, Level 1, 490 David Street

This time we welcome Lena Leonteva from Russia to talk about how to keep the pure view obtained in meditation in daily life.

Buddhist methods are practical, make us more joyful, fearless and compassionate in everyday’s life and enable us to lead meaningful lives of benefit to others.

Lena was born & educated in Russia. She took Buddhist Refuge with Lama Ole in 1992 and started teaching, at his request, in Diamond Way centers in 1998. She has been living in the Moscow Buddhist center since 1998. Lena is the editor of the Russian version of the Buddhism Today magazine and in 2011 did a PhD in history, with her thesis on Marpa’s works.

If you are interested in Buddhism and have questions, you can come along and learn how to apply these useful teachings in everyday life.

We welcome Phil to Albury! He met Lama Ole Nydahl in 1995 and was inspired by his practical western approach to Tibetan Karma Kagyu Buddhism. Phil was one of several students who together established the Sydney Diamond Way Buddhist Centre in 1996.
In 2007, Lama Ole asked Phil to begin teaching to help spread the timeless and profound methods of the Diamond Way to idealistic westerners, and has since taught throughout Europe, Russia and the Americas.
Phil is married with an eight year old daughter, and is ‘in the process of retiring’ after running a small business for the last 25 years.
He will explain how using the profound meditation methods to enrich our experience of everyday life can enable us to lead meaningful, joyful lives of benefit to others.
If you are interested in Buddhism and have questions, you can come along and learn how to apply these useful teachings in everyday life.
