Today was the official opening of Bungambrawatha : Stories of Albury
Through objects and photographs, this exhibition charts the history and spirit of our community.From the Wiradjuri, who lived on and cared for this land for tens of thousands of years , to the more recent arrivals from many backgrounds who now call Albury home.
This exhibition was curated by Kat Kitch (Wiradjuri) and Kate Eastick who both work at the Albury LibraryMuseum
We would like to thank Aunty Edna Stewart who is not only a staff member of AWAHS but also a respected elder in our community, for her welcome to country this morning and also her contribution to this exhibition.
We also acknowledge elders who are no longer with us, that have left their footprint and paved the way for our future generations.
