The 2024 Show is officially over. The Albury Show Society Committee would like to thank everyone who attended, all of our site holders with their great variety of products, St John’s for their invaluable services as our first aid crew, our helpers and judges in all of our pavilions and events (Cattle, Jelbart Pavilion, Horse Show, Arts and Crafts, Horticulture, Goats), our sound and lighting tech from Albury Sound and Lighting (Ross), and our wonderful entertainers:
- Noah’s Thoroughbred Pig Racing 🐷
- Billabong Ranch Animal Farm 🐐 🐑 🐇
- Eljay’s Freestyle Entertainment 🚲
- Xplosive Entertainment 🎇
- Showman’s Guild 🎡
I myself, as a first time Show Society President, would like to thank our committee for their hard work in the lead up, and during the Show:
- Kevin Wild (Treasurer, Horse Steward)
- Vanessa Bartling (Secretary)
- Gwen & Des Klinberg (Horticulture Stewards)
- Karen & John Cronin (Arts & Crafts Stewards)
- Ken Wilson (Jun. Vice President)
- Jill Craig (Cattle Steward)
- Peter Godbolt (Cattle Steward)
- Joan (Vice President) & David Barrows
Thanks also to a few helpers that ran around assisting me all weekend: Ryan Johnson, Maree & Angus Geltch, and Karen & Brendan Munn (who drove 9hrs from Moree to Albury to help with the show)
I’d also like to thank Rotary for manning our gates; CWA for keeping our committee, St John’s, and judges fed; and Apex for doing our bin collections.
Last but not least, thank you to my predecessor, Mr Wal Blezzard, who has given decades of his time to the Albury Show as President.
There are so many volunteers that invest their time into making our Show a success, and we couldn’t do it without them. If you’d also like to get involved, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with us.
See you all next year!
- Katherine Munn, Albury Show Society President
