Most days I feel a bit whispy, moving through life on a wing and a prayer, it’s a reliable part of having a strong ayurvedic vata dosha.

It always been this way for me, Vata is whispy, light and ever changeable, it’s the wind that whips up around me carrying me to the next situation, it’s the shifts from normal, urging me to create and invent the life ahead.

It means that being motionless is different for me than being still. Still is beautiful, it grounds and focuses me, but being motionless is to suffer the times when I’m not inspired or gripped by fear and anxiety.

Peaceful practices bring me back to the consistency of pleasure that stillness and quiet trust give me, when I’m all up in the air and need the reliance of what is stable.

For those who saw my story, my car is waiting for a new starter motor, when you live in Australia, not having a car is tantamount to being stuck. In a couple more days I’ll be back in the driver seat!

whispered to me last year that she would love Restorative Yoga with Massage Training. I had no idea how it would unfold seeing I don’t have a viable space to teach from, but the brewing had begun.

I love a bit of gentle nudging and respond well to enthusiastic prompting so when another person approached me about the training and I was in Bali at the time, the negotiations around timing began to host it in Ubud!

Katie teaches at and if you’re in that area of Victoria be sure to lock in to what is a beautiful studio nurturing the essence of wellbeing.

As a group of wise and inspirational women, we spent a glorious and full week of training, learning and developing skills and techniques around providing a high level of service for those who require peace.

As a photographer I had time to also shoot Katie for her memory bank and further promotions of her work and she sure does shine!

If you’d like to have soul stirring images of you for your socials/business, or be part of the next training opportunity, give me a nudge! Gx

I’ll be taking 2 classes at the BENDIGO YOGA FESTIVAL 4 & 5 October 2025

1. SURYA NAMASKAR - Heart and Glow 1hr
Did you know that mantra and asana, sound and structure, can be combined to bring a sense of inner flow through the harmonising of movement? This class will lead you through the 12 mantras that connect to the 12 positions of Surya Namaskar or Salute to the Sun. Mantras connect us to the shakti or power of the enlightened ones, in this case the sun, the glowing beacon of life that awakens us to our true potential. Learn through experience how to develop your practice into a devotional one and illuminate your inner glow!

2. Mantra Lab - Learning Mantras one word at a time
1hr
Mantras are devotional and instructional in their usage. They help soothe the heart, connect us to the Divine and welcome intention to our actions. During this Mantra Lab, you’ll learn 3 mantras line by line and by repetition, so you can feel them resonate within as often as you chant them. We will cover 1. Om Asatoma 2. Gayatri Mantra 3. Om Purnamadah. This class is not a kirtan, but rather an opportunity to listen and learn with the vibrancy of your eternal spirit and voice.

Head to the website to book your festival ticket!

Sounds of quietness thrill me no end. My singing or music is gentle and whilst I love a rousing energy to watch or listen to, the sounds I produce are usually quiet whispers of love’s depth.

This whisper is to wind the message of love into your heart, calmly and with an undeniable reality. It can’t be ignored, it’s so sweet and true.

As sound and love are both representations of nature, listen to the birds call and the rustle of leaves. Light a candle, burn some incense and present yourself with a moment of quiet reflection, within the space of that enquiry you’ll find love exists.

There’s a sneaky possibility building towards me holding a Training Retreat in November, are you curious to come to this one?

Each morning began with easily adaptive ayurvedic practices, followed by breath awareness and meditation. We then came to the yoga shala to learn traditional practices that could contribute to our own personal development as well as create depth in what we offer to others. The bulk of the day then was oriented towards the Restorative Practice with Massage.

Details throughout the week are considered so that your experience is an empowering one. I also send you newsletters that outline all the visa information and what you need to include so that you have the correct power adapter etc.

What I love about these trainings is that they are so heartily received. I’m not a big business, but a dedicated woman who is able to create these experiences through word of mouth. If you’d like to speak to one of the past participants, let me know, they are great advocates to be inspired by!

I have been asked if you require any prior experience in this field and the answer is no, you will be guided in every aspect and receive a 50hr Certificate of Attendance too! Gx

Journalling is an important part of training, it allows for private reflection and perspective.

During our June training, writing something about the experiences we shared not only provided immediate reference, it also gave something with regards to future understanding.

As someone who loves to write copy, I know journaling specific responses to experience probes deeper into the psych for words that might not be so obvious.

Do you have a journalling practice? What does it bring to your deeper enquiries?

Also just a couple of days left to show an expression of interest to attending a training in Restorative Yoga with Massage and Peaceful Practices. I never know when I’ll offer these trainings, it all depends on opportunity, so if you’re keen, drop me a line! Gx

Yoga and Ayurveda doesn’t discriminate on how we show up, it just makes the suggestion that if we do there are resounding benefits.

Each morning during our Training Retreat in June, we gathered for a morning class, designed to cover practices that would be adaptable to daily exploration.

We covered asana, (shapes the body takes to experience breath in different ways), mantra, (vocal representations of divine connection), mudras, (physical signs of intentional energy), dhyana, (meditation to soothe and focus) and pranayama, (breath practices focussing on activating or soothing).

There was no requirement to come dressed in ‘yoga’ wear, but as ourselves, thus creating practices that could be adapted for anyone at any time. That’s why the week is open to anyone wanting to learn restorative practices that enhance how we live so that our lives are enhanced by how we live, get it!

Expressions of interest for a training at the end of September are open for just a couple more days, are you curious? Gx

ps, can you see the dragonfly on the post that was with us that day, we were mesmerised!

When it came time for assessment at the end of our training for Restorative Yoga with Massage in June, we recruited some of our favourite people to come and join us.

It meant that each participant had their own person looking after them in a professional setting. Massaging and attending to individual needs and requirements.

Whilst during assessment it was a 1:1 ratio, the trainees were taught to read a room as well as look for what each person requires for comfort and ease.

These trainings allow me to teach thoroughly and with the benefit of time, each participant receiving the attention they desire to provide for their participants!

I’ll be closing interest in this next training in September at the end of the week, if you’re interested, reach out and take some steps towards making significant changes to your life, Gx

I’m throwing it out there this week to garner if there is interest in attending this training retreat in September.

The one I ran in June was so successful, I’m pumped to run it again, this time during the school holidays if there is a desire to immerse yourself in personal wellbeing alongside learning an incredible skill to share.

The total price hasn’t altered from the previous training, $3950 covers all meals, accomodation, training and extras, you cover flights, visas, most drinks and extra spending.

Now’s the time to jump forward whilst flight prices are reasonable! A discount is being offered to past students who would love a refresher and a trip abroad at the same time, reach out if you’re interested!!

During the training for Restorative Yoga with Massage, it’s all hands on deck, that’s what the point of difference is!

Rather than steering away from human contact, we lean into it, literally! By learning and experiencing what appropriate touch and pressure feels like, we can apply it uniquely for each person.

This depth of understanding is not taught in regular teacher trainings because that’s not the focus. On this training it is!

Only one yoga teacher attended this last training, others were Sound Practitioners, Circle Facilitators and Disability Support Providers, all seeking ways to offer a different way to care for people in their charge. Are you interested in learning this valuable system? I am seeking interest for a training to be held in the September school holidays, reach out if you want in!

Did you look at the Restorative Yoga with Massage Training Retreat I held during June in Ubud Bali and think to yourself, if only it was during the school holidays?

I am looking for expression of interest to join a Training Retreat in Ubud Bali during the NSW and Victorian holidays in September/October.

The price for this all inclusive 50hr training will be $3950. If there’s interest, I will happily run it again.

ps. To anyone who has done this training before and would like to attend as a refresher, you will be offered a discount.

I’ll hold this idea open for the next week before it goes ahead or not, it begins with just an enquiry!

I lived in London around the time when Oasis hit, to me they were brash boys I wouldn’t want to meet in the pub. A low bar to place in meeting people but it was the way for a long time.

I could and can however, deeply appreciate their brilliance and if I could be bothered being in a big crowd, would have bought tickets to see them on their current outings.

Watching parts of their reunion tour has been an impressive blast, but I’m maybe more impressed with their support band.

I tear up watching Richard Ashcroft sing Bitter Sweet Symphony, a song from my youth, when days were heady with dreams and bravado. He looks great, not just someone reliving their glory days, but someone who owns that they’re still with him.

I was swept me back to a time when big dreams were alive in me and wondered, if like these lads, my glory days could be still be with me, it’s a notion I’m prepared to explore.
