Emerging from winter like it never happened!
It’s been a over a year since there’s been any water in the pond at the local gardens so I’ve found a new place to sit and it gives me all the earthing I need to be inspired. It’s a blessing because making it through the cold months tends to be a manic struggle and the park over the past few years has provided me with a calmness my nervous system seems to respond well to.
I’m contained in a small space where I live, so the park means I get a place to practice asana, mudra, mantra and dhyana. Whilst it is in the surrounds of local activity, somehow it’s also a quiet place I feel safe in.
These practices serve me well for maintaining a cyclic balance, that is, not a lineal representation of health and wellbeing, but rather a slightly revolving one where seasons and predicaments are approached using yogic and ayurvedic knowledge.
The other requirement I need for personal survival is an outlet for creativity. My personal practices are for my own wellbeing, but creativity is the outward expression of who I am. Not who I’ve been or will become, but rather the spirit of the soul itself and what it wishes to experience.
Om Suryaya Namaha! Salutations to the Sun for the input it has for giving sustenance, at least during this time of the year in late spring!
