I lived in London around the time when Oasis hit, to me they were brash boys I wouldn’t want to meet in the pub. A low bar to place in meeting people but it was the way for a long time.

I could and can however, deeply appreciate their brilliance and if I could be bothered being in a big crowd, would have bought tickets to see them on their current outings.

Watching parts of their reunion tour has been an impressive blast, but I’m maybe more impressed with their support band.

I tear up watching Richard Ashcroft sing Bitter Sweet Symphony, a song from my youth, when days were heady with dreams and bravado. He looks great, not just someone reliving their glory days, but someone who owns that they’re still with him.

I was swept me back to a time when big dreams were alive in me and wondered, if like these lads, my glory days could be still be with me, it’s a notion I’m prepared to explore.

Was held up in my local fave whilst the rain did its thing and got to walk home in the afternoon shine of the sun, (with emphasis on the shine, there is nooooo warmth!)

Walking through the park and there’s moisture in the ground where the pond usually is, note, it could not be classified as wet there are no puddles, but enough fodder for the cockies to enjoy an afternoon spread!

I met Julie Moksim during Meditation Teacher Training at and have had the pleasure of continuing our friendship and enjoying long hang out times over the last few visits to Ubud!

Since then Julie, who has owned studios of her own, has dedicated time and personal development to become a teacher on Alchemy’s trainings and has permanent classes on the timetable.

Teaching from a place of embodied Non Dual Shaiva Ta**ra, it was an honour to photograph her so she has updated images to promote her classes.

If you’re in Ubud and looking to take a class richly based in philosophy as well as asana, a class with Julie will fit the bill completely!

If you’re after images to support your feed, business or memory bank, hit me up and let’s get something together for you, Gx

The deliciously talented Elena is an incredible photographer and videographer. Her videos alone capture the gentle movement of peace and is very much aligned with her demeanour.

She is also the other half of that I’ve already showcased. Her etheric vocals accompany traditionally made instruments that are hand crafted by her partner .

As you can see, she is nothing short of being a living angel sharing peaceful practices wherever she goes!

The delicate smell of fresh rose petals being swept into the hands of deep gratitude and appreciation is a rare and wondrous thing!

A flower shower ended our precious time together last week and it enabled us to really celebrate the feeling of self nourishment, together.

We shared the lightness of joy, the acceptance of our true and extraordinary selves and looked at some of the things that hold us back from this truth.

We practiced Smarana, a deep remembering that we are more than who we are to others and how to consistently come back to this remembering as we connect to the precious Divine energy of love.

Happy 59th Birthday to me, wooohooo!

There feels like a lot I can celebrate on a personal level this birthday, I really am as healthy and anchored as I’ve ever been and it’s been the slow accumulation of yogic and ayurvedic practices that has bought me here.

Being surprised with flowers and cake and even a candle to blow out was unexpected and I’m full of gratitude for the effort of those who have sent messages, thank you 🙏 Gx

The opportunity to release and resurface is often something we are not offered, but an experience we turn to when all else hasn’t helped.

Through peaceful practices, my desire is to retain a grounded balance of reassurance, so that when I’m thrown, I have a place within myself to reorient with.

With my birthday week approaching, this year has me thankfully, sitting differently in my own space. It doesn’t mean I’m not challenged, I just feel differently about them when they arise.

So here’s to moving in our own way, with the support of the practices that anchor us with an assurance of love.

Wow it’s been a time of it the past couple of weeks with an energy of possibility bubbling and surfacing and the completion of arrangements making way for the direction to become clearer.

I applied to study formally next year and needed to contact the University I originally attended to get proof of my degree and graduate diploma. Hahahahaha, because it was before 1997, dear old Monash would only send me a hard copy, which I had to pay dearly for, because nothing was digitised. It’s a wrought I tell you, if there’s something they can send as a hard copy there must have been something they could digitise and send me. The girl on the phone didn’t seem to follow the logic, ah well.

My new photography gear was completely stuck in some crucial areas of operation and so after lots of battles with manuals and YouTube videos, I hit the reset button and hey presto, it’s now the camera I hoped it would be. Goes to show you how valuable a reset is for clearing what is stuck!

Next week I’m back on a plane with the thrilling opportunity to meet with friends and my sweet son and be back in an environment that seems to encourage my personal growth and development.

Anyway, after the frost this morning that my hands are still feeling the sting of even though it’s nearly lunchtime, I can’t wait to be in warmer climes! Gx

With the rain gently falling here in Victoria’s High Country, it’s enough to nudge the crust on the ground into being softer as it absorbs much awaited moisture.

It does mean the pool of water on my Ute’s tray cover is back and dragging into the centre, patiently waiting for me to drive and get a coffee and swish around a corner with enough panache to disperse the load off it’s back!

Hridaya Mudra is my favourite, well currently anyway!!

Hridaya is a Sanskrit word translating to the spiritual heart or place of the heart, so it’s brilliant to use during my meditation and bhakti practices to encourage a sense of soothement.

Filtering practices through the heart space and utilising Vyana Vayu, the direction of Prana that circulates around the body from the inside out, for me, encourages that essence to move more freely.

The first finger tucked under the thumb signifies air as an element, so helps to pacify the heart from racing which makes it such a good choice to use during meditation!

Intentionally creating energy in a space that provides an environment of trust, safety and calmness is something really important to me.

There are hours spent in pre-preparation, making sure my props are clean (it is some kit to upkeep too!), that my instruments are in tune and have all their accompanying leads, that I have all the ingredients for food and drinks and all the cups and stuff to serve with, that I have prepared myself through practice and plans for the event, even down to drive times and set up times!

It all counts to the experience you have when you walk in the room and even though you might not exactly know why, you know you’re in the right place.

This simple set up was at Harvest Yoga in Rutherglen. I love to travel far and wide to offer your community peaceful practices steeped in yogic and ayurvedic wisdom. Contact me if you’re curious to know how we can work together, Gx

Taking your shoes off at the door gives an invitation to slow down and switch gears.

The story can change. Rather than running around, stamping your feet from here to there without awareness, you’re making a choice to alter the tempo.

Slowing down provides time rather than takes from it. Building awareness around how you’re breathing, in any moment it occurs to you to direct it, changes the pace, it’s like taking off your shoes so you can change pace.
