On the back of my last post’s not-so-subtle-hashtags, I’ve had a few DM’s regarding Vitamin D. The short of it…. get your Vitamin D blood level tested - don’t assume that because you’re an Aussie and you spend time outdoors ☀️, that you have satisfactory Vit D.
Aim for 90-100nmol/L as a general rule*. Adult Supplementation of 500iu-3000iu daily through 🍂 ❄️ Autumn - Winter considered safe.
‼️‼️ I can’t emphasise enough know your individual blood level for efficacious supplement dosing. This requires Professional advice, especially when you have pre-existing illness🙏🏻
Like all illness’ - there is never one cause, never one cure. Don’t get caught up in a reductionist health model of thinking… support your body’s innate immunity - I’d suggest knowing your Vitamin D level a good place to start.
