Itโ€™s one of the Niyamas in yoga philosophy: practices that help us create more balance and clarity in daily life.

Saucha invites us to notice:

* How we care for our body and space

In yoga, Saucha is the practice of cleanliness and purity, not just physically, but mentally, emotionally, and energetically too.

Itโ€™s one of the Niyamas in the yogic path, inviting us to clear away what feels heavy, cluttered, or unnecessary so we can return to simplicity and clarity.

Saucha can look like:

* caring for your body with movement, rest, nourishing food, and breath
* creating calm, tidy spaces that support your nervous system
* noticing the thoughts you consume and the way you speak to yourself
* letting go of emotional buildup, resentment, comparison, or overstimulation
* arriving to your mat with presence and respect for shared space

Itโ€™s less about perfection and more about intention. Not becoming โ€œcleanerโ€ to be worthy, but creating space to feel more connected to yourself

Looking after our belongings in a yoga class reflects the yogic principle of Saucha, cleanliness and purity.

Itโ€™s not just about physical cleanliness, but also creating a respectful, clear and mindful space for ourselves and others.

Folding blankets neatly, returning props with care, and keeping our space tidy all become small practices of presence and consideration.

All the feelsโ€ฆ.. ๐ŸŒ•

This Ta**us/Scorpio full moon has stirred up emotions and unspoken feelings I already knew were thereโ€ฆ quietly sitting beneath the surface waiting for me to slow down long enough to truly feel them and this moon has brung this truth to the surface.

So instead of resisting it, Iโ€™ve been meeting myself gently in the small grounding moments. Waking slowly ( when possible ) writing down the words that are caught in the back of my throat, still fearful to form out loud, basking in the midday sun,
breathing deeper and moving my body with softness instead of pressure.

Ta**us is reminding me to ground into what feels safe and nourishing, while Scorpio is asking me to stop avoiding the deeper emotions and simply be honest about whatโ€™s there.

It feels tender, raw at times, but also strangely freeing. Healing isnโ€™t always about โ€œmoving on.โ€ Sometimes itโ€™s about finally allowing yourself to acknowledge whatโ€™s been quietly asking for your attention all along. โœจ๐ŸŒ™๐Ÿชถ

There comes a point where you realise growth isnโ€™t about becoming someone elseโ€ฆ itโ€™s about gently returning to yourself.

Peeling back the layers.
The expectations.
The roles.
The habits that kept you small.

It takes courage to meet yourself honestly.
To soften.
To change.
