🩸There’s a Blood Moon on the horizon🩸This Total Lunar Eclipse in Virgo highlights a time of endings and letting go. It links back to themes from March and September 2025 occurring on the most sensitive zodiac axis of Virgo-Pisces. The Virgo-Pisces axis is all about aligning the body, mind and spirit to receiving messages from the ether whilst grounding the insights into the physical.

Falling in the earthy sign of Virgo, this Lunar Eclipse encourages balance between the mystical Sun in Pisces and connecting this with body awareness. Virgo rules the digestive system in the body and the season of harvest in the Pagan calendar. The digestive system pulls nutrients and ‘the good stuff’ from the food we eat, and discards the rest for elimination. Likewise, harvest season relates to ‘sorting the wheat from the chaff’, taking what is needed and removing what is not.

Above all, Virgo brings a discerning energy. It helps us discriminate between what is quality or essential in our lives, and what is causing unnecessary clutter or confusion. Under the light of this Blood Moon, use its spotlight to illuminate all that is dispensable in order to create better clarity and focus.

Virgo also holds the archetype of the ‘virgin’, the pure and the virtuous. This can relate to our health, our diet, our daily routines and our patterns that contribute to overall wellbeing. It can also relate to the art of ‘being of service’ to others and the greater community. To being in tune or in contact with our highest calling in life.

The shadow side of the Virgin, is the debilitating tendency towards perfectionism. This can be further perpetuated by Virgo’s ruling planet of Mercury that can flip into anxiety, worry and over-thinking. Watch for over-analysis and ‘perfect’ thinking during this lunation. We must always remember to ground humbly to the body and gut in order to integrate these powerful celestial shifts.

🪬SLOW YOUR ROLL, baby! Mercury turns Retrograde on February 25th till March 20th🪬 During this three week sojourn, the universe is asking us the slow down, reflect and truly integrate all the shifts and changes occurring within and around us. Aside from the communication mishaps and technology faux pas, we are being called within to appreciate the subtleties and messages we have missed. It’s a poignant time to turn off the outside noise and distractions and deep dive into the subconscious.

The core of this Mercury Retrograde journey, is related to rethinking our boundaries in important relationships. Interpersonal issues and themes from the past (the last 3 years) may surface as a signal or trigger point for further processing. Give yourself the time and the space to fully integrate, rejuvenate and heal during this potent emotional time. A gentle PSA🧬🧿💜 Just like a radio that tunes into frequency, you’ve switched gears, you’ve changed timelines. You’re old self remains in the dust as your cellular memory upgrades. The winds of change whispered and you received the call.

This is your conscious reminder that you are not the same person you once were. The years of struggle, toil, inner work, upgrades were never in vain, they were leading you to this moment. Your inner world has changed and your outer world is transforming. It’s time to release the past, the old stories, the old ways, they were never meant to last.

Everything is temporary, including the identities and people that matched the old frequency. You know yourself better now. You know your traumas, your triggers, your strengths, your triumphs, now you must create a world that matches this self-awareness. This expansive full moon heralds the gateway to Eclipse Season and an awakening of the Heart Chakra. It falls in the magnanimous sign of Leo, bringing fixed fire creative energy that activates the heart/mind axis.

This Moon calls for alignment in heart listening and intuitive mind messages. It’s the lunar event that generates pressure on new projects and endeavours, asking us to release old fears and resistance to success. Leo asks for bravery in the new, whilst disengaging from projects that don’t energise or open the heart space.

Alignment is key! In the upcoming movement into the Year of the Fire Horse (on February 17th), alignment moves us into prime position, whilst rushing or forging will lead to burn out and angst. This Eclipse guides the way, seeking a strong channel of communication between the heart and Higher Self.

The pressure is building in this momentous year. Neptune moved from Pisces into Aries on January 26th (this last occurred in 1875). We are moving from the dreamy waters of Pisces into the fiery, initiatory vibes of Aries. This signals a new fourteen year cycle, planting new seeds, writing new stories and walking new paths (individually and collectively).

Following this, Saturn moves into Aries on February 13th. Saturn (the Master teacher of discipline and responsibility) deepens the focus on the fire element bringing a lot of collective tension and awakenings. There is no more hiding when these two major planets shift into the sign of the Ram. It’s time to step out, step up and be reinvigorated and birthed by fire!

With all this fire energy moving through the cosmos, its easy to boil over with bursts of creativity, irritation, anger and impatience. Fire energy needs to be rooted in grounded action, not reckless or impulsive, but with powerful and purposeful strokes. Don’t tame the fire, let it move through you with intention and clarity.

‘Stay in the flow’💙💚…..As we move through January, it’s important to remember to flow with the energy. To let our inner guidance show us the way, not through pushing but through intentional action and intuitive nudges.

This year began a new nine year cycle, where many new beginnings and doorways open, but these portals do not open through old ways of doing things. We have shed the past, old outdated versions of ourselves, now we must put the new into practice. January is the month we begin this process (gently!).

But like most new beginnings, sometimes we need to take it slow. We might start a little wobbly, we might have a few false starts, like a brand new baby learning to walk, it will take time and patience.

We are learning to operate in a whole new way no longer controlled by outdated conditioning. Our nervous system has changed, much healing has occurred, we have been upgraded, but we are like fresh hatchlings out of the nest. We are still learning to find our feet and spread our wings.

If we stay in the present and follow the flow of life, we will find this process more natural and less daunting. So take your time, there is no rush to growth or progress. Everything happens in the perfect time and in the perfect moment.💙💚
