Our Osteopaths can assess and assist with the Neuro-musculoskeletal aspects related to plagiocephaly (mis-shapen head) in babies. This is a good scholarly article on the benefits of “tummy time” which we always recommend is done under supervision. More frequent, shorter practices of tummy time may benefit some babies over longer stints, less frequently. Your Osteopath can assist with making your baby feel more comfortable in tummy time & assess the function of the digestive tract along with the muscles, nerves and developing skeletal structures.
