• Magnesium is the fourth most abundant mineral in the body.(1)
• Magnesium ions are found in every cell in the body.(2)
• The average person needs 250-350 mg of Magnesium each day or about 100 grams of magnesium per year.(2)
• About 60 percent of the magnesium in the human body is found in the skeleton, 39 percent in the muscle tissue, and 1 percent is extracellular.(2)
• Magnesium absorption occurs in the small intestine and begins as early as 1 hour after ingestion in the jejunum, but primarily occurs in the ileum.(3)

Happy new year.
The clinic is back on deck from Friday 1st February.
Clinic days are Fridays, and alternate Saturdays.
Pre book as i book out quickly.
School holidays the clinic is closed. It's the only way i get time with my son.

Had a client say today at the salon(unaware of my professional qualifications) that get hair skin amd nail supplements probably do nothing.
She then got a trichological lesson on why they do.
Yes your cells that make up the hair need to be healthy to have healthy hair. That is the foundation. You can't build a good house on a bad foundation can you?

BLUETOOTH ALOPECIA AREATA

David Salinger writes: I have seen alopecia areata related to tooth infections but never, until now, related to bluetooth technology. A lady in her 20s had to start handling the phone at work, four days a week, which was wireless. So she wore headphones. For the first time in her life, she experienced very bad migraines, lasting days, and bad pain on top of her scalp. Two months later, she experienced alopecia areata on top of her scalp. She obviously stopped handling the phone and the migraines have stopped.

She has a CT scan and MRI, all good. She does suffer from gluten intolerance and pernicious anemia.

My examination of her scalp indicated that her hair loss has stopped and there is plenty of regrowth, so I reassured her all would be well.
