We’re often asked about supplements—and more frequently about magnesium—so here’s some information on the different types and what they can help with.

Magnesium is involved in over 300 essential processes in the body, but not all forms do the same thing. From supporting sleep and reducing muscle tension to easing anxiety and PMS, the right type of magnesium can make all the difference. ⁣

If you’re experiencing any of these signs, you may have low magnesium stores, and supplementing appropriately may help with these symptoms

One of the unique parts of being an Osteopath is that every new patient brings something different. We never quite know what kind of musculoskeletal presentation we’ll be seeing — and that’s exactly why we stay confident and capable in treating a wide range of conditions.

However here are some of our favourite conditions to look at:

Dr Zachary Foote (Zac)
- Neck tension and dysfunction, often linked to posture, stress, and nervous system imbalance
- Jaw-related concerns, such as clenching, grinding, and TMJ dysfunction
- Headaches and stress-related tension, helping to create space for both physical and mental ease

Dr Rachelle
- Supporting healthy breathing patterns through hands-on work with the diaphragm and rib cage
- lower back pain, pelvic pain(floor)/function
- rehabilitation

Please note both of our osteos are capable and confident in any musculoskeletal condition. 💙

At Tide Osteo, we follow the latest research-backed approach: PEACE & LOVE – a guide for managing soft tissue injuries from the moment they happen through to full recovery.

PEACE (for the immediate stage):
Protect – Avoid aggravating movements for the first few days
Elevate – Raise the injured area to reduce swelling
Avoid anti-inflammatories – Let your body’s natural healing process do its job
Compress – Use gentle compression to limit swelling
Educate – Get the right advice early to support healing

LOVE (for ongoing care):
Load – Gradually return to movement and strength
Optimism – Positive mindset matters in recovery
Vascularisation – Get moving with pain-free cardio to boost blood flow
Exercise – Rehab through movement to restore function and prevent re-injury

Book in with our team at Tide Osteo for tailored support. 💙

Being told to “just rest” after an injury can be frustrating — especially when it doesn’t lead to real improvement.

At Tide Osteo, we take a more proactive and informed approach. We assess what’s going on, provide hands-on treatment, and offer tailored advice to support your recovery and help you move with confidence.
You’ll also receive guidance on how to stay active safely, manage symptoms, and, if needed, be connected with other healthcare professionals as part of your care.

Effective care goes beyond rest — and we’re here to help you every step of the way.
