In reality, loneliness is a normal human experience - one that is shaped by our biology, life circumstances, and the quality of our connections.

In our latest blog, we explore:
• Why loneliness is part of being human
• The link between loneliness and mental health
• Why you can feel lonely but not alone
• How self-criticism and withdrawal can keep loneliness going

January is often framed as a time to “do better” or “be more.”
For mental health, what’s often more helpful is an emotional reset - slowing down, noticing patterns, and rebuilding routines gently.

Sustainable change rarely comes from pressure.

Today holds very different meanings across our community.

For many Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, 26 January marks the beginning of colonisation, dispossession, and ongoing intergenerational trauma. It is a day of grief, loss, and survival - not celebration.

Truth-telling matters. Justice matters. Treaty matters.

Acknowledging the realities of our history - and the impacts that continue today - is essential to healing and to the social and emotional wellbeing of First Nations peoples.

We stand in respect and solidarity with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, and we honour the strength, resilience, and enduring cultures of the world’s oldest continuing peoples.

Listening, learning, and showing up with humility matters - today and always.
