Woke feeling worried about not being good enough for this extra support work position I am starting to support my cost of living and gladly found this talk to suport my negative bias thoughts.

Negativity has its place but when its costing you qaulity of living we must try to search for ways to get support and also try to support ourselves as best we can.

I will hopefully be able to loop this acronym from this talk in my head over and over today!!!

I am prescribing myself this Tara talk each morning until I know it off by heart. 💕

Funny phrase, isn’t it? Off by heart. 🫶🏽
But fitting—because it’s my heart that longs for peace.

Not the endless “wanting” to be more capable, more together, more right. That striving only keeps me small.

My heart wants peace to simply do the work I love—my life’s work as a creative therapist—without the fear of bills, materials, or whether my studio is clean enough.

What if I let this wanting soften? Bit by bit.
What if I could just be… now?

Yes, I’m a muddle at times.
Yes, my nervous system is knocked about by hormones, sensory chaos, and daily functioning.
But this morning, guided by Tara, I touched something else.

For a moment, the past and future stopped.
The spiral of “not capable” paused.
And I was capable.

That is my gold. The treasure I will hold—for now. 🌻

Thanks The Sad Ghost Club your images are so validating, going through your page and looking was a treasured moment. Thanks for what you do.

It can be so tough when we're not feeling like ourselves and doubting our worth. But here is your reminder that you are sooooo worth the space you take up and the universe is so glad you exist. We are so lucky to have you x

Self-compassion is easier said than done. But maybe if we pretend to hear the mantras by reading them- pasting them around the place we will eventually believe them… could they slip in past the critical self-talk..? 🤔

✨ 4 Self-Compassion Phrases to Support You in Any Moment ✨
We're all human and get it wrong sometimes. The words we tell ourselves when this happens matter.

Instead of blasting yourself with harsh criticism, ask yourself, “What do I need to hear right now to help support myself?” Try repeating a phrase that speaks to you in your particular situation. Some potentials are:
💖 May I give myself the compassion that I need
💖 May I learn to accept myself as I am
💖 May I forgive my imperfection
💖 May I be patient with my mistakes

This type of warm self acceptance provides the emotional foundation needed for growth and change. What resonates with you? Comment below and let us know the phrase that speaks to you the most!

DISTRESS TOLERANCE

FOCUS
Focus on something with fine detail, like wood grain, a textured artwork, or leaf veins. Slowly zoom your attention in and notice the smallest details you can see. Drawing what you observe can help you stay present and notice more.

ENERGY RELEASE
Let your energy move through you by scribbling hard with crayons or pastels, tearing up old drawings, stomping to music, slapping paint on cardboard, twisting pipe cleaners into knots, or dancing until something shifts.

SEEK COMFORT
Find comfort by drawing or collaging a safe place you imagine. Write a few lines or a poem about what you find comforting. Share your feelings with someone who understands. Cuddle a plush toy while listening to music that matches your mood.

ORGANISE
Organise and sort objects. You might arrange buttons, beads or collage pieces into patterns, tidy up your art supplies, or clear out materials you no longer use.
Consider donating or repurposing what you don’t need.

DISTRACT
Give your brain something to sink into. Make detailed art, try a tricky puzzle, or get absorbed in a fast-paced game. You could also map out your week, brainstorm creative projects, or come up with fun things to look forward to.

FIND HUMOUR
Lighten the mood by looking for moments of humour. Make up absurd replies to everyday questions, doodle a silly scene, or imagine a goofy twist to something serious. Notice the awkward, loveable parts of being human.

OBSERVE
Shift your focus away from yourself by observing the world around you.
Notice Who looks excited or bored, and what interesting things are happening nearby. Imagine you’re an alien researcher seeing everything for the first time.

DISTANCE
Create some distance by stepping away from your current space. Take a long walk or explore quiet corners nearby. If you can’t leave physically, imagine a comforting, familiar place or wander through a calming world in your mind.
