UPDATE 📢

It has been our first week of reduced opening hours and a temporary adjustment to some services. In the coming week we aim to advertise for the Centre Manager position.

Birth and Beyond remains committed to keeping our doors open for families. In the past year alone, we have supported hundreds of local parents through antenatal education, drop-in support, referrals, equipment hire and community connection.

This transition also highlights the urgent need for sustainable funding. Around 70% of our services, including postnatal support and drop-in assistance, are currently unfunded.

Our Committee is actively advocating to the NT and Commonwealth Governments to secure the long-term investment needed to ensure this service remains strong and stable for the future.

Today we say goodbye and good luck to our fabulous Centre Co-Ordinator, Bridget as she moves to a different role.

Bridget has been an asset to the centre over the past 20-months, offering a friendly and familiar face to families, and bringing fresh ideas to allow young families to meet & connect in the community. A big thank you to Bridget for her wonderful service.

We will be advertising for a Centre Manager in the coming week. All updates will be shared via social media.

Want to learn how different languages sound like?
Interested in learning about differences?

This Saturday, the 28th of Feb, the Alice Springs Public Library in partnership with MCSCA's program MCSCA Playgroup - Susu Mama is hosting a Multilingual Story Time!! 🤩📖📚

📖 The languages that will be reading this week are: Khmer and Italian.

This will start at 10:15am @ the Library.

Here at Alice Springs Public Library, we offer a range of programs for 0-5 year olds.

Ran 3 times a week, each session aims to promote early literacy in a way that is lively, interactive and stimulating for both babies and carers.

Come along to listen to stories and sing along to nursery rhymes and songs.

✨Storytime - Mondays 10:15
- Best suited for children aged 3-5
- Mostly stories with some songs

🥁Music and Movement - Tuesdays 10:15am
- Best suited for toddlers and children up to 5
- a mixture of songs, movement, music making and stories

🪇Baby Rhyme Time - Fridays 10:15am
- Best for babies and toddlers aged 0-2
- interactive songs and rhymes

Birth and Beyond would like to formally thank and acknowlege the Northern Territory Government for their support via a Community Benefit Fund Grant awarded to our organisation in 2025.

The Centre has used this grant to fund a number of equipment upgrades and other essential items that wouldn't have been possible without the Community Benefit Funds support.

Some of this equipment includes the step stool and seat for our bathroom so we can support your little ones toilet training journey, our printer so we can update you all on the happenings around town on our window display, and the bright green snack bags that have now become part of our membership packs!
