Deakin University is inviting you to help researchers understand the use and challenges of digital communication technologies for diverse consumers.

They are interested in including those who have knowledge of the issues that Australian consumers face, to better understand those who experience challenges with communication (d/Deaf, Hard of Hearing, Blind and visually impaired), elderly and those in rural and remote areas. Please consider participating or passing on this invite to relevant individuals."

This research project is funded by ACCAN and conducted by researchers from Deakin University and the Victorian University of Wellington. This research aims to understand how ‘communication’ is understood by diverse consumers, with the view to better inform the regulation of digital communications technologies.

Participation will involve an approximately 90-minute focus group and seeks a wide range of consumer perspectives to discuss the concept of communication.

If you are interested in participating you can use the QR code or contact The Defining Communication Research Team at Deakin University - definingcomm@deakin.edu.au

[This study has received Deakin university ethics approval (2023-293)]
