Chinese herbal medicine
Dietary / Lifestyle advice
Qi gong / exercise therapies

Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), includes Acupuncture, Herbs, massage, cupping & spooning (gua sha), dietary advice, Qi Gong, Tai Chi & Kung Fu. It has been practiced and written about for up to 3000 years, and continues to be relevant in the modern world. TCM has a strong foundation and holistic approach, which does not separate the process of dis-ease from the Mind, Body, Spirit, the environmental surrounds nor the History of the Individual or their constitutional make up. It seeks to find the state of homeostasis / balance for each individual depending on their particular situation. As such it can address all sorts of conditions regardless of the Western Medical (WM) description. In fact is often complimentary to, and can work in conjunction with WM treatments strategies.

I will be taking appointments right up to that date if you have need, or wish to drop in one last time.

The term Wu Xing (五⾏) is most often translated as “Five Elements," but this is indeed a bad translation, the Chinese character Xing doesn’t mean “Element," and this translation creates a misconception about the understanding of the sense of Wu Xing theory. People are trying to draw a parallel with the Four Classical Elements of the ancient Mediterranean world, which are typically referred to as water, earth, fire, air, and which have been proposed to explain the nature and complexity of all matter in terms of simpler substances. But Wu Xing is not a number of substances. The Chinese character Xing can be translated as "moving," it is a process, an active dynamic, changeable state, so in some way, the term Wu Xing means "Five Movements" or "Five Phases.” Knowing a more accurate translation is essential for a correct understanding of this theory.
