School holiday activities don’t need to be complicated to be meaningful 🤍 🫟
Using everyday household items, children can build regulation, motor skills, confidence, and independence through play. Obstacle courses, playdough, sensory bins, and water play are simple ways to support growing bodies and busy brains while keeping holidays fun and low-pressure.🏃‍♂️☀️

🧠📱 Screen Time & Predictability: Why It Matters for Kids
As an OT, I often hear: “Is screen time really that bad?” The answer isn’t simple—it’s about how much, how, and when.
Swipe through to see why predictable routines + mindful screen use can support:
✨ Emotional regulation
✨ Attention & focus
✨ Sleep quality
✨ Independent play & creativity
✅ Tip: Consistent schedules and clear expectations around screen time help kids feel safe and build self-regulation skills.
💡 Small changes can make a BIG difference!

Play isn’t “just play.” It’s where kids feel safe, seen, and connected 🤍

When children feel safe, their nervous system can settle. When they feel connected, regulation becomes possible.
Occupational Therapists use play intentionally—to build trust, support emotional regulation, and help kids feel secure enough to learn, grow, and engage with the world 🌱
