We are committed to tailoring each session to the individual needs of your child, making the experience

positive and enjoyable and equipping you with the information and skills to continue your child’s learning. In addition to this, we have developed collaborative partnerships with other health professionals in the community to ensure that your child’s needs are met through integrated goals and ongoing communication between the professionals involved. As Speech Pathologists, we assess and address the underlying reason for the difficulties that your child is experiencing. This ensures that we can provide effective therapy to develop your child’s skills to their full potential. Three of our therapists are now trained in the Read3 literacy program. This program is designed for children who are at risk of spelling difficulties, or those who may not be responding to traditional synthetic phonics approaches.

Our Read 3 trained therapists demonstrated some of the key differences in the program and how to identify children who are suitable. This helps us match our clients to the right therapist.🙌🏻

Hi, I’m Imogen, a Speech Pathologist who graduated from ACU. Drumroll please… we’ve successfully organised our very first Journal Club!📔🥳

This time we explored the topic of ‘Dose and Frequency of Therapy’, across a range of practice areas. This helps us better understand how much and how often sessions should be to best support our clients.😀

Who knew a speech therapy session could turn into a mini science experiment? We created a simple hologram projector using magnetic tiles and a video on the smartphone while working on language goals!

Our team completed an insightful PD with our lovely senior Speech Therapist, Farran!

We explored social communication for school-aged children, covering theoretical knowledge including assessments and goal setting, as well as practical therapy ideas that we can use with our clients! 🙂🙌🏻

Here is our Speech Therapist Kathren’s go to toy for therapy- farm animal toys! 🐖🐑🐂🐄

They are typically used for preschool concepts – naming animals, colours and number identification. This can also be used for a variety of low to high level expressive language activities targeting:

1. Prepositions (location words) – on/off, in out of, under/over or above/below, next to or beside, in front of /behind
2. Verbs (action words) – ing ending, s ending, ed ending or irregular verbs
3. Adjectives (describing words) - opposites
4. Vocabulary – baby animal names
5. Categorising – sorting into pets, farm animals, wild animals
6. Pronouns – he/she
7. Formulating sentences using conjunctions (joining words)

Low level – Pig hides in red barn. -> The pig is sitting under the red barn.
Medium level – The pig jumps out of the red barn. -> The pig jumped over the red barn.
High level – The scared kitten sat behind the red barn because he/she saw the angry cow.
