Last Friday, Allanson Primary School was a sea of orange as we came together to celebrate Harmony Day 🧡

Students and staff embraced the spirit of inclusion and diversity, taking part in a range of Harmony Day–themed club activities throughout the afternoon. It was wonderful to see everyone learning, creating, and celebrating what makes our community so special.

A big highlight of the day was decorating cupcakes, with every student getting the chance to design their own and take it home – a huge thank you to Keah for making this possible!

Harmony Day was a great reminder that everyone belongs, and it was so nice to see our school come together in such a positive and meaningful way. 🧡

Allanson Primary School will be celebrating Harmony Day tomorrow. Staff and students are encouraged to wear orange and bring a gold coin donation.

We’re excited to have Keah Richie visiting, who will be helping students to decorate their own cupcake to take home.

The day will finish with our usual clubs, but with a special Harmony Day theme, where each club will run a different activity celebrating diversity and inclusion. 🧡

🌿 Bushland Rehabilitation at Allanson Primary School 🌿

Our Year 3/4 students recently rolled up their sleeves and got their hands dirty, using grant funding from Southern Ports to help rehabilitate a section of bushland alongside the Karak Walking Trail.

Students planted a range of flowering native plants, including eucalypts, grevilleas and banksias, helping to beautify the area for everyone who enjoys the walking track. These plants will also support local wildlife and contribute to creating a wildlife corridor that links pockets of natural habitat.

This project reflects the Bush School ethos at Allanson Primary, where students learn the importance of caring for the beautiful native bushland that surrounds our school.

A big thank you to Southern Ports for their generous support. Our students loved being able to contribute something special to the local community! 🌱
