New research is putting a spotlight on something we see all the time, the role music can play in student wellbeing! 🎶

From building confidence to creating a sense of belonging, music education is being recognised as a powerful way to support young people both socially and emotionally.

It’s not just about learning an instrument, it’s about connection, expression and giving students another way to feel seen and heard. Definitely an interesting space for schools and educators to keep an eye on!

National Reconciliation Week is a time to reflect, listen and continue learning about our shared histories, cultures and achievements.

It’s an opportunity to recognise the importance of respectful relationships and working together towards reconciliation in our communities, schools and everyday lives.

This year’s theme, All In, is a reminder that reconciliation is something we all have a role in. It calls on all Australians to show up with openness, respect and a willingness to learn, while continuing to listen to and honour the voices of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

Today marks National Sorry Day. 🔴🟡⚫

A day to acknowledge and reflect on the ongoing impact of the forced removal of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children from their families, communities and cultures.

It is a time for listening, learning and honouring the strength, resilience and stories of Stolen Generations survivors, their families and communities.

Today, and every day, we recognise the importance of truth telling, connection, respect and continuing the journey towards healing together.

10 years with the same school. That says everything! 🙌

“This is our 10th consecutive year having Brainstorm Productions perform at our school. Every year they do not disappoint, with very professional staff, clever and well delivered shows that engage all year levels from Foundation to 6. This year we saw ‘The Protectors’, which was very relevant to our School Wide Positive Behaviour School values and eSafety curriculum. I would highly recommend Pete and his crew at Brainstorm Productions.”
- Nicole Dickman, Learning Specialist, Karingal Heights Primary School ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

There’s something special about building long term relationships with schools, getting to come back year after year and seeing the impact grow over time.

A big shoutout to our bookings team behind the scenes, who put so much care into supporting schools, making the process easy, and staying connected with staff along the way.

Today is Do it for Day 🦋

A day that encourages us all to take a stand against bullying and choose kindness in our everyday actions.

It’s a reminder that small moments matter; checking in on a friend, including someone, speaking up or simply being there for each other.

Creating safe and supportive environments starts with all of us, in schools and beyond. Let’s keep the conversation going and continue to look out for one another. 💙

Meet Isobel! 🎭

Isobel is joining the Brainstorm team in 2026, bringing with her years of experience both on stage and behind the scenes. From a young age, she found her place in the theatre world; often cast as villains or male leads, with one of her proudest early roles being Rumpelstiltskin at just nine years old (beard and all).

Since then, Isobel has performed in and directed a wide range of productions, completed a Bachelor of Media & Communications majoring in Film, and spent years working as a drama tutor and children’s party entertainer.

Outside of performing, she enjoys movies, reading and spending time with friends. Isobel is excited to help bring stories to life that inspire, challenge and connect with young people in schools across Sydney.

You can catch Isobel touring The Human Race & The Hurting Game throughout the Sydney region this year.

The Protectors continues to make a real impact in schools! 😁

“We recently welcomed Brainstorm Productions to perform The Protectors, and it was fantastic. The show delivered important messages about bullying, cyber safety, empathy and resilience in a way that was engaging, age-appropriate and relatable. The performers kept our students captivated while sharing practical strategies they can use in real life. We highly recommend The Protectors to any school looking for a meaningful and impactful wellbeing incursion.” - Yagmur, Victorian primary school teacher.

Always great to hear how the program is landing with students and supporting the important work happening in schools.
