It’s Elderflower season here in the Northern Rivers. Without a tree in our new garden, for the first time in many years I have had to wild harvest.
Fortunately there are several possibilities for easy harvest close to home.
I made tincture to last for the next year and with a little bit left over thought I would attempt a “St Germaine” style liqueur - fresh elder blossom and pear with a touch of lemon juice and a dash of honey.
The finger dip test reveals that this has promise mixed with soda water as a summer cordial!

Whipping up a batch of organic fresh plant ginger tincture this morning.

Many a time I will pick up this treasured book in a consultation and someone will comment "Wow, that's a well loved book".
And indeed it is. My inscription inside gives the purchase date as 1988 and it has been my go to desk reference since then.

But today, my original Homeopathic Material Medica (a text outlining the indications for homeopathic remedies) has been officially retired, to be replaced by a second hand copy of the same edition as mine. The new copy is as new, looking like it has been sitting neglected on a shelf.

RIP black edition and welcome yellow edition - your colour does not enthral me but your contents does, so I remind myself not to judge a book by its cover.

I don't post very often - too busy seeing people every day and offering support where I can. It can be lonely, it can be tiring but it is also often extraordinarily rewarding.

This little thank you was just dropped in by the Mum of a youngster who had to fly last weekend. He was terrified of flying, already getting anticipatory anxiety days before hand. Stressful for both him and the family.

Previously screaming at the departure gate, to calmly boarding for a smooth flight.

Once again, the power of homeopathy to completely change lives. Brings tears to the eyes.

Just had couple of nights in Sydney to attend the Natural Medicine awards and catch up with colleagues and friends.
Our Herb Hub flood relief clinic was nominated as one of 4 finalists in the Clinic of the Year category.
We did not win but we are super happy that the award went to our friends at Goulds Natural Medicine who are very deserving recipients.
