We’re excited to share an inspiring story from one of our dedicated members, Matt, as part of our “Health & Fitness Journey” series.

Matt consistently demonstrates a dynamic approach to his health and fitness, balancing strength, mobility, and cardio. He thrives on the variety in his training, which continually challenges both his body and mind.

One of his proudest achievements to date is beating his previous HYROX time by a remarkable 16 minutes. This significant improvement truly highlights the power of consistent training.

Beyond the gym, Matt’s training has positively impacted his life by helping him maintain nutritional accountability and providing balance alongside his full-time studies. He finds that the structure of his training keeps him grounded and focused.

Since joining Edge, Matt has experienced noticeable differences in his energy, mindset, and confidence. He credits this to the like-minded, goal-oriented environment at Edge, where the “growth attitude is contagious” and constantly pushes him to reach new heights.

Looking ahead, Matt is currently training for his next big goal: tackling the Port Macquarie 70.3 Ironman in 2026. This new challenge is something he is incredibly excited about.

Off-Season Training for Teen Athletes

For many teenagers who play contact sports, the off-season is the perfect window to build strength, improve performance, and prevent injury.

Having a structured strength program that supports your sport is just as important as time spent on the field. Sport has evolved — young athletes are now investing more time in the gym to improve their performance, recovery, and resilience. This shift is raising the bar in competition — and you can clearly see the difference in both skill and injury prevention.

At Edge, we’ve been working alongside the Alstonville Swim Team and their amazing head coach to deliver a balanced program that supports their athletes. They combine pool sessions with structured strength training in the gym, and complement it with a weekly yoga class to enhance mobility, recovery, and performance.
The results speak for themselves — these swimmers are breaking PBs, winning national titles, and finishing on podiums, all because of consistent, balanced training.

So, we’re putting the call out to parents of young athletes — especially those in contact sports — who want to see their kids strong, confident, and prepared for their next season.

Our Head Coach can design a tailored off-season strength and mobility program to set them up for success when their season kicks off again.

👉 This is the difference between reducing injury and enjoying the sport you love.

Start your day grounded and centered. This beautiful blend of yoga, tai chi, and Pilates encourages mindfulness, mobility, and calm.

🕖 7:00am – EdgeFit
Shift gears into a dynamic strength session, designed to build power, stability, and confidence through functional movement.

🕤 9:30am – Flow Yoga
Ease into a more active stretch, lengthening and strengthening the body while bringing focus to breath and flow.

🕠 5:30pm – BodyPump
Finish the day strong with this muscular endurance powerhouse — build tone, strength, and stamina through high-rep training.
