P***c hair trends change with the times and in the Middle Ages being completely hairless became a symbol of lower social class and prostitution.

The upper class chose to leave their p***c hair natural as a way to differentiate themselves and to prove their high standing.

Never considered that p***c hair could provide some people with a sense of superiority.

P***c hair has been removed for thousands of years and we still use some of the techniques now that they used back then.
Not singeing it all off with heat but close to it.
And I reckon if Cleopatra was into it, why not follow suit.

We are after all just mammals, so of course we are going to be at least a little hairy.
P***c hair is a sign of human sexual maturity and also like our eyelashes is a protective layer from germs and bacteria.
We have always had it, but we evolved to create many ways of removing it 😁

P***c hair goes through fashion trends… the full bush, the Brazilian, the land strip have all had their period in the spotlight.
These changes are influenced by cultural trends, the fashion industry, personal expression and also ideas of hygiene. It’s fascinating really…
Who would think public hair was so interesting to the public? Kim kardashian for one 😁

With all things we consume we need to understand their benefit and also what risks may be involved and AI companionship is no different.
Supporting people to critically think about their use of AI companionship is now a regular part of my job.
Data privacy and online safety is just the tip of the iceberg. 🤔

AI companions can reduced loneliness, provide emotional support and build confidence. They are also available 24/7, so there is no waiting around for a response.
But just like any information technology there are benefits and there are risks.
Supporting critical thinking of any information we consume is integral for safety and awareness…not everything is as “real” as it may seem.

Ps. Paper I mention is from Harvard Business School “How people are really using Gen AI in 2025.” (April)

Keeping up to date with the latest research is essential for professional development. It allows therapists to provide evidence based support. I am seeing a steady increase of AI companionship from clients so wanted to get my head around it.

I came across this great paper by and wanted to share it. The link to read the full article from is here: https://journals.sagepub.com/doi/10.1177/27546330251370657 #

Professionally development is essential so that you keep up to date with the changes across the years.
Ai is having a major part to play in therapy. Not only can people access support through chatbots, some therapists are using AI within their practices. But for me, clients are using chatbots and AI companions for relationships and sexual experiences. This means I too have to have an understanding of this and what I am finding is that there are positives as well as negatives.

People can make a chatbot feel realistic through the creation of avatars and real time voice chats. You can text or talk with them. They are designed to mimic personal relationships and the AI will adapt to the user and learn to respond to them personally.
They are growing in popularity and this means that understanding the benefits and the risks of using them is essential.

The use of AI chatbots and companions is on the increase. I am seeing it on a regular basis in therapy with my clients.
And these bots adapt to the person who is using them and learn to respond in ways that feel very real and very personal.
I am learning fast as it is changing the landscape for me as a relationship counsellor and sexologist. They have both positives and negatives but they are here and this means they are now part of my life too.

Knowledge is power and education is essential! This is why I am so happy that there are organisations who are wanting to provide comprehensive sexuality and relationship education for people with disability who access their services.
Working collaboratively with organisations and codesigning workshops also means that the information delivered can be comprehensive and match the learning styles of their client group. I love this work, because the more people who receive comprehensive sexuality and relationships education, the more people can make their own choices and the less need there is for specialist services like mine. 🙂

Mirror selfies are very very popular all over social media, but I tell you where they are not popular… on dating apps!
One research paper states that mirror selfies in dating profiles receive 40% fewer likes and if it is a bathroom mirror selfie then they receive 90% fewer likes. And shirtless mirror selfies are definitely not a swipe right photo. So if you have your shirt off… it’s better to be at the beach than standing in front of your bathroom mirror.
