Sending this out to anyone who feels the call, to pause and rest for a weekend in our own special island paradise Island Alive. There is a special locals rate just for our island community. Restorative yoga is a gentle, passive style of yoga that helps you relax and de-stress. It involves holding poses for 5 mins or longer with the aid of props like blocks or blankets.

How it works 🌹

Have you been to a yoga class and felt like you cant do yoga? Me too. My first class was terrible and I didn't want to go back to yoga.

Eventually 5 years later I found a style and teacher that changed my life, I did yoga every single day and eventually trained to be a teacher.

When I started teaching I could see people literally could not do a traditional or new age yoga class or any of the postures. I knew like me they could get there one day but not doing it this way.

Everyone deserves to do yoga. Everyone can do yoga but yoga needs to meet each person where they are at. Not where they think they are at but how there body moves or doesn't move.

Most people cant touch there toes
Reach their own hands behind there back
Sit on the ground cross legged comfortably
Ankles don't twist or feet don't lay flat
And this is a mobility issue which will have a roll on effect creating joint injuries, hip pain, back injuries and neck restrictions.

So I use props and guide people into a version of a pose that works for them and we slowly release stress, tension and pain from the body. My classes are relaxing and restorative to settle the nervous system and therefore the mind and body too.

Women’s Holistic Massage
Techniques include lomi lomi, pulsing, stretches and acupresssure, arvigo abdominal massage and reiki.

The Arvigo therapy is an external, gentle manipulation that helps to reposition internal organs of the digestive and reproductive system. Repositioning organs that have shifted help to restore healthy and optimal blood, lymph, nerve, and energy flow within the body.

Front parts of the body that are missed in normal massages are crucial for women’s health. It’s nurturing gentle external massage. Everything is connected so I massage the whole body. From feet to head you’ll feel held, safe and relaxed as physical and energetic flow is restored to whole body.

This week I'm away doing a sacred drum making workshop
I'll be using the drum in my healing sessions when called too. The beat of the drum brings us home to ourselves, the rhythmic beating like a heart beat, the first sound we hear in the womb. Women through all cultures and history have been recorded drumming for ceremonies in community.

My offerings at the moment include;
Heartworks Lomi Lomi massage
Sacred Womb Massage Ceremony
Reiki Massage and Reiki Energetic Clearing sessions
Postpartum closing and wrapping Ceremony

All sessions are tailored to each individuals needs and also financial considerations are taken into account. Please reach out if cost is an issue and we can swap or make other arrangements. My deepest desire is to share the magic of energy healing and massage with our community. Reconnecting and remembering our true selves in harmony with our body on the earth. Good Evening
Its beautiful Autumn with Samhain (halloween) in the southern hemisphere happening this week. Samhain is the the third and final harvest festival of autumn. Death and decay, letting go and all that remains are the seeds of new life for after winter.

With these cool evenings I've decided to keep classes going at the Studio with its cosy wood fire. Its so warm and classes are centred around slowing down, resetting the nervous system with restorative and yin styles that suit everyone. All equipment provided.
