Tai Chi and Qi Gong for Health

Tai Chi and Qi Gong for Health Improve Immunity and Reduce Stress
Relieve pain, reduce stiffness; Improve balance & reduce falls; Increase muscular strength & joint flexibility.

My passion is to change the lives of people, improving their body and mind wellbeing by teaching them Tai Chi and Qi Gong gentle exercise, as well as through Healing Massage. After many years of practicing and teaching Tai Chi, I discovered the modified ‘Tai Chi for Health’ programs designed by Dr Paul Lam, and in 2013 Tai Chi for Health Brisbane was born. Dr Paul Lam has worked with Tai Chi experts and medical specialists to create the Tai Chi for Health Programs. They are easy and enjoyable to learn, and supported by many scientific studies proving their effectiveness and safety. The health benefits of Tai Chi include:
• Increased flexibility and muscle strength
• Greater fitness
• Better body posture
• Integration of body, mind and spirit
• Improved flow of Qi (life energy)

Tai Chi is gentle exercise suitable for all ages and abilities.

We started the day learning and practising Baduanjin Health Qi Gong, followed by the Yang 10 Forms Tai Chi. After our practice, we enjoyed a delicious and healthy morning tea together.

It was so lovely to sit back, relax, and catch up with everyone. Thank you to all who came along and made the morning so special. 🙏

A big thank you to Our Lady’s College for allowing us to use their beautiful kitchen, and for their kindness in providing tea, coffee and more. We’re so grateful for such wonderful community support.

Moments like this remind us how special it is to practise, share food, and connect together as a community.

Tai Chi isn’t about rushing, it’s about refining.

In my one-on-one Tai Chi training in Brisbane, we break everything down step by step so you can truly understand the movement, build strength, improve balance, and feel more connected in your body.

Whether you’re a complete beginner or looking to deepen your practice, personal training allows us to focus on:
✔️ Correct posture and alignment
✔️ Smooth, controlled transitions
✔️ Breath coordination
✔️ Balance and stability
✔️ Mind–body awareness

No pressure. No ego. Just steady progress at your pace.

Tai Chi Footwork Made Easier for Tight Hips | Parting Wild Horse’s Mane & Brush Knee

Many people experience tight hips, which can make the footwork in Parting the Wild Horse’s Mane and Brush Knee feel difficult or uncomfortable.

In this video, I break down the stepping and weight transfer in a clear, gentle way, with simple adjustments to reduce strain on the hips. You’ll learn how to improve stability, coordination, and ease of movement while staying relaxed and safe.

This practice is suitable for beginners, mature students, and anyone with limited hip mobility who wants to move more comfortably and confidently in Tai Chi.

Take your time, listen to your body, and enjoy the process. ❤😃
