🏠 Working Together for Early Intervention & Better Outcomes 🏠
On 24 July 2025, RFQ was proud to attend the inaugural education forum hosted by the Preventative Peaks Alliance at The Ville in Townsville.
The Alliance — a strategic partnership between PeakCare, Q Shelter, Queenslanders with Disability Network, Neighbourhood Centres Queensland, and QATSCIPP — is united in its mission to address housing instability, strengthen early supports, and build more responsive systems. RFQ’s IRHP program aligns closely with the work of Q Shelter, our valued partner in driving positive housing outcomes.
The forum was opened by Communities Minister Amanda Camm, who shared her vision for working collectively to combine experience, insight, and passion for lasting change.
Key discussions centred on:
1️⃣ Housing instability
2️⃣ System fragmentation & institutional silos
3️⃣ Underinvestment in early and preventative supports
4️⃣ Overrepresentation & discriminatory practices
This was the first of many important conversations to come, as stakeholders from across the sector explored what’s working, where the gaps are, and how to design early intervention solutions that truly meet local needs.
RFQ was proud to bring a mental health recovery and housing lens to the discussion, and we look forward to continuing this work alongside our partners to build inclusive systems of support — and be part of the ongoing change.
