As you may all be aware, THE GYM APOLLO BAY will cease trading as of 30 September 2023.

Of course I am gutted about Great Ocean Road Healthโ€™s decision not to take us on, to further our services and commitment to the Apollo Bay community. Iโ€™m positive that Amy Harbour and Lil Mcgowan will follow in our footsteps and provide a great offering for Apollo bay and the wider community.

I have many fond memories of interactions with locals in helping anyone achieve their health and fitness goals. From training our wonderful healthy habits, consistent holiday makers and members from local groups it's been a pleasure.

I feel The Gym Apollo Bay has exceeded all expectations over the last 9 years, from turning the old rundown and unused ambulance station, into a teal covered community facility that can be utilised by everyone, which only came true from the kindness of Dorothy's bequest.

I will always be fond of the friendships created through running The Gym Apollo Bay . Taking members on local hikes, fun runs in Forrest, and half marathons from Kennett River to Apollo Bay. And I can't forget all the amazing boot camps in Wye River and Thailand.

Because I was lucky to be given the chance to run the local community gym in Apollo Bay, I have met so many wonderful people and I thank-you all from the bottom of my heart for your support in me and my little business over the last nine years.

Over the coming month the only memberships that will be available to purchase will be our casual memberships.

All direct debit memberships will end as of the 30th of September, if not before dependent of your direct debit date.

Anyone that has taken upfront memberships Amy and Lil should honor them for you.
