Rotto Swim Ready! 🌊
Tomorrow, our physio Harriet is taking on the Rottnest Swim as part of a duo team and we could not be prouder.
Swimming has always been more than just exercise for Harriet. It is where she built discipline and resilience, formed lifelong friendships, including her Rotto swim partner, and learned how to have a chat between breaths.
From a physio perspective, swimming is hard to beat. It builds full body strength, improves cardiovascular fitness, and is low impact. It works shoulders, core, hips and legs while being kind to joints. It challenges coordination, breathing control and endurance in a way that is demanding but sustainable.
Beyond the physical benefits, swimming is also Harriet’s reset. The pool helps clear her head after a long day in clinic. The ocean wakes her up, grounds her and gives her space to think. It is rhythmic, repetitive and calming.
Taking on the Rottnest Swim brings together everything she loves about swimming. It is a physical challenge, a mental reset and a shared experience all in one salty adventure.
One of Harriets favourite reminders, as Dory says, just keep swimming 🐠💙
Good luck tomorrow Harriet. We are cheering you on.
