Introducing mother’s to yoga when they might need it the most has been at the core of my teaching since I started! Some may think mums and bubs yoga is a gimmick or not worthy because who can truly practice whilst also caring for an infant, but it is sooooo worthy and if you’ve seen how a mum can multitask you’ll know it is entirely possible and for some of us that is the only way we can get in some practice!!
When we feel exhausted, isolated, lonely, like no one could possibly understand what we are going through... we can come to this space with our babies (as there literally is little to no community for mums (and dads) these days to just ‘watch the kids while I pop out’) relieve our aches, calm our minds, begin to rebuild our core strength and stabilise our postpartum hips and talk to other mums going through the same things!!! Usually the chats extend to coffee after class just around the corner. This type of activity is also the sort of thing that is going to help any mum edge away from that dark hole that is post partum depression or maybe even help to climb out.
So...I need your help!! Knowing a lot of mums I know that this class is the sort of thing they want to do and there is not enough of it around, so I need to get word out that I’m here every Wednesday teaching this class at 11am!!
If you know any mums with babies 6 weeks to crawling let them know!! Talk about us if you’re in the community with other mums around. If they’re pregnant, I love starting the relationship in our prenatal Sunday class and seeing them back and meeting their babe in arms.
Thanks for reading if you’ve made it this far, it certainly grew from what I was initially intending on sharing. I want my class to grow!! 🌱 🧘🏼♀️ This pic is after cuddling a beautiful baby whilst her Mum enjoyed Savasana at the end of class!!
