🌟Today we stand with our red shoes on, in compassionate awareness for FASD 🌟
Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD) is the leading preventable developmental disability in Australia. And its prevention is a community issue of support and health, not one of blame or shame.
FASD is caused by alcohol passing directly to a developing baby during pregnancy, which can lead to lifelong challenges with learning, behaviour, and development.
We know that substance use disorder is a complex health condition, and the idea of not drinking during pregnancy can feel overwhelming for those struggling with addiction. By understanding the risks we can collectively support healthier choices and better outcomes.
If you or someone you love is worries about alcohol use during pregnancy:
➡️ You are not alone
➡️ Asking for help is a brave act of love - for both you and your baby
➡️ Confidential, compassionate support is available.
We stand for breaking stigma and building a circle of care around every individual and family.
Awareness and support can make the world of difference. That is why we are slipping on our red shoes to show support for ! 👠
