☕ Let’s act together to have… that conversation.
Today, Friday, 8th August, is Dying to Know Day. Across Australia, thousands will gather in coffee shops, community halls, workplaces, living rooms, and online to have the conversations that matter most.
From the New England to Perth, from Brisbane to Adelaide – people are talking about life, death, and everything in between. We’ve included a link below for the local D2K Day event happening today. And whether you realise it or not, you’re connected to every one of those conversations.
The truth is, most of us will spend hours planning our next holiday… but not five minutes talking about our final wishes. Dying to Know Day is here to change that – proving that talking about death doesn’t have to be doom and gloom. It can be empowering, connecting, loving… and yes, maybe even enjoyable.
Yes, wills and advance care plans are important – but so are the everyday mysteries we leave behind:
🐾 Who will care for the anxious dog?
🍫 Where is the secret Tim Tam slice recipe hidden?
If you’ve been putting off these conversations – whether you’re an ageing parent, an adult child, or someone without close family, over simply wanting to tick that box – we’d like to be there for you.
Over the coming months, Piddingtons will be hosting local community events including information nights on funeral planning and costs, wills, and advance care directives.
Event dates, times, and locations will be announced soon – and we want to make sure these events best support our local community.
☎ If you’d like to join, learn more, or start the conversation, call our friendly team today on 02 6772 2288.
