Rolling into Spring. 🌿✨

Thanks to the team at Armidale Mower & Chainsaw Centre for delivering our newest addition to the outdoor team. With a warm Spring ahead, whilst our team thinks up a name for our newest ride-on, they can't wait to get stuck into testing the new mower on our stunning lawns and around our memorial gardens.

We continue to pride ourselves on the effort of our Outdoor team at Piddingtons. Keeping the gardens and memorial spaces at our Fairleigh Rest home looking their very best through every season. A peaceful, welcoming place for families to reflect and remember. 💚

With our gardens open every weekend for families, and our inaugural open day approaching on November 8th.
We look forward to welcoming you whilst you explore Fairleigh Park and some new additions.

Crafting Memories That Last. 💐🪦

When you see a headstone or memorial, you see a name, a date, and perhaps a few words. What you don’t always see is the artistry, patience, and craft behind it.

During the Open Day, our stonemasons will demonstrate how memorials are created, transforming raw stone into something that will outlast generations. It’s part tradition, part craftsmanship, and wholly about remembering.

A New Chapter for the Australian Funeral Directors Association, as Funerals Australia 🌱

As many in our community will know, Piddingtons has been a proud member of the Australian Funeral Directors Association (AFDA) since 1937. Now, in its 90th year of being the voice of funeral professionals, the AFDA has announced it will be rebranding itself as Funerals Australia.

Whilst their name has changed. Their commitment to making funeral care easier to understand, more approachable, and, most importantly, their focus on what really matters, supporting Australian families through some of life’s most difficult moments.

Since 1937, Piddingtons has proudly been a member of the Australian Funeral Directors Association, and now, with Funerals Australia, we will continue to ensure that local families receive the highest quality care.

A Lasting Legacy. 🤝🌱

Last Saturday, part of our team was invited to the dedication of the Inverell RSL Sub-Branch Modern Conflicts Memorial, a project that holds special meaning for us.

Playing a part in bringing this memorial to life was a privilege for Piddingtons. We constructed a place for our community to gather, remember, and reflect on the courage and sacrifice of those who served in Australia's modern conflicts.

The ceremony moved us deeply, making the official dedication of the memorial a proud moment for our team.

Your professionalism, product knowledge, and hands-on training have made a real difference in helping us meet our safety requirements and ensure our team is confident and well-equipped. As Anzac Day approaches, we pause to remember and pay tribute to the brave men and women who served and sacrificed for our country.

Please note, our offices will be closed on Anzac Day, reopening on Monday, 28th April; our gardens will remain open daily. For emergencies or enquiries, our team is available 24 hours a day — contact us on 02 6772 2288.
