About The Business:
Acacia Medical is a family company that has been servicing the New England and Northern NSW for 29 years. We provide medical equipment to individuals, hospitals, residential facilities and nursing homes.
About the role:
This position is responsible for servicing and routine maintenance of medical equipment. This job involves on site repairs and maintenance throughout New England, Northwest NSW and Mid to North coast NSW. It will involve travelling up to 3 days per week to fulfill contract equipment servicing schedules. A company service van, mobile phone and company credit card will be provided for use for work-related duties.

Who are we looking for ?

We are looking for someone with a good practical skill set in maintenance and repairs. Our ideal candidate would be handy around machinery and equipment, and love to maintain and fix things. We are seeking a reliable, and consistent person who is enthusiastic about helping others. Great communication skills are a must as this role entails working with the elderly and people with a wide variety of disabilities along with health care professionals. The ideal candidate must also enjoy travel and driving as this role is 60% on the road.


Requirements:
* Basic Mechanical knowledge
* Experience with tool usage
* Experience with electrical maintenance would be an advantage
* Computer literate
* Good communication skills
* Professional presentation
* Current Drivers licence
* Willing to travel Northern NSW with overnight stays
* Willing to apply for or already have – Police Check, Working with Children Check – NDIS check

Service Technician opportunity 🛠

This is a great opportunity for someone looking for a hands-on job within a small team with an opportunity to see the countryside. It will involve regular travel to fulfil contract equipment servicing schedules with accommodation provided when overnight stays are required. A company service van and mobile phone will be provided.

Key Responsibilities 🛠

- Managing in-house workshop and organising repairs
- Travelling to Hospitals, Care Facilities and Community Clients to carry out routine maintenance and repairs
- Using computer equipment to record servicing data
- Maintaining clean and organised service vehicle to ensure all tools and parts are on-hand
- Liaising with customers to determine equipment faults and repair costs

Job Requirements 🛠

- Diagnose and Provide quality and timely repairs, demonstrating a competence with tool usage and practical hands-on ability
- Completing local and more complex repairs in the Acacia Medical Armidale workshop
- Liase with workshop manager to provide timely repair / service costings for customers as required
- Current Australian drivers’ licence and good driving record
Candidate Requirements:
- Basic mechanical knowledge and experience with tool usage
- Ability to think practically to problem solve / diagnose equipment issues
- Experience with electrical maintenance will be a big advantage but specific training will be provided
- Demonstrate competency with computer usage
- Professional appearance
- Willing to travel long distances with overnight stays for contract servicing
