Please join us in welcoming Dr Nisar Ahmed Halepoto to West Armidale Medical Centre.

Dr Nisar has 33 years of experience as a General Practitioner with specialist qualifications from UK and Pakistan. He has worked in Pakistan and UAE.

His main areas of expertise are managing chronic diseases, mental health issues, common problems of child health, dermatology and womens health. His focus is to treat patients holistically with active participation from patients by giving them up to date information about their condition.

He will join us in the first week of November.

Dr Maryam has ten years of experience as a general practitioner and specialist qualification in Family Medicine from the UK. She has worked across the UAE and Pakistan. She has a particular interest in managing chronic diseases along with a focus on preventive medicine. Her other areas of expertise include common skin ailments, women’s health, mental health and child health. Her approach to primary care focuses on active patient listening and encouraging them to make educated decisions about their health.

Dr Maryam will be starting the first week of October.

The West Armidale Medical Centre said farewell to Dr Dan today. Dr Dan was the medical practice's first GP to complete his 6-month placement via virtual clinical supervision.

Over the past 6 months, Dr Dan has become an integral part of the team and Armidale community. We will miss you greatly and wish you all the best in your next adventure.

Welcome to Dr Dan! He is available for in person (face to face) and telehealth appointments working as a GP Registrar.

He completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Queensland in 2016 before completing a postgraduate Doctor of Medicine (MD) at the University of Notre Dame, Sydney, in 2020. Since then, he has been living and working on the Central Coast, completing his internship and residency across Gosford and Wyong Hospitals. Dan began his General Practice training on the Central Coast before moving to Armidale.

Dan is dedicated to providing holistic medical care and has a keen interest in Paediatrics and Child Health, Skin Cancer Medicine and Sexual and Reproductive Health.
