Neuropathy affecting the fingers can indicate damage or dysfunction of the nerves of the hands and fingers. Numbness, tingling or pain can be experienced.
Acupuncture can be an excellent way to help restore lack of energy flow to the fingers.
Very fine needles are used and minimal sensation of the needles is felt. 3-7 treatments recommended.

Coccyx pain is effectively addressed by balance method acupuncture. The coccyx is imaged by using the bony area of the occipital region of the head.
This issue is often hard to treat however the Dr Tan method approaches this condition with ease and is able to bring about an excellent response from the body.

The hand in Acupuncture has an amazing affinity with the head or any features of the face.
We can acupuncture the hand to effectively treat symptoms affecting the nose, eyes, mouth, brow line, cheeks, forehead, ears, skin and jawline. Congestion of the nose can be immediately influenced and reduced through the insertion of one needle on the hand. We can even be so specific in which nostril we are wanting to clear. This can bring immediate relief to conditions such as sinusitis, head cold, sneezing and allergy.

Thanks to Dr Tan’s balance method, Lung 5, the acupuncture point which is needled in the photo below is an excellent choice for bilateral inner eye irritation and headache pressure in this spot.

If you don’t have access to acupuncture, it’s possible to firmly slap Lung 5 area with the opposite hand to create a vibration in the balancing meridian.

Do this twice a day for two minutes for two days. This is an effective self healing technique that works similar to the acupuncture.

Many clients experience pain and discomfort just below the knee.
This restricts participation in sport and recreational activities.

I use an acupuncture point, Large intestine 11. This point is situated on the crease of the opposite flexed elbow. This point is so effective in reducing pain occurring in the knee as well as healing structures. I can use this point in children as insertion is normally not felt.

These lines of needles are inserted towards the midline of the scalp. This area images the upper spine. (Lower cervical and upper thoracic vertebrae) Usually the nature of the clients pain will lessen as soon as the needles are inserted allowing relief and rest for the patient.
This is a beautiful and simple way to restore chi & blood flow to these areas.

This acupuncture point is called San Cha San. I use this in clinic for patients exhibiting issues such as Sciatica, Discomfort of the Hip, Eye problems, Jaw pain, Headache, Neck issues, Haemorrhoids, Lower & Upper back pain as well as Ear ache and Sinus congestion. One acupuncture point can address many issues. This needle is easily inserted into the webbing of the hand with minimal sensation.

One of the concepts used in acupuncture is imaging. This is my approach in treatment. You can take one part of the body such as the hand and image other parts of the body to it. For example if I wanted to influence the head or brain in anyway, I can needle the tips of the fingers. This is very effective in reducing the severity of migraine and headache. You could also massage these areas with great results. I can access the spine just by needling the back mid finger or on the bones in the back of the hand. This has the potential to greatly reduce pain levels being experienced in the body as well as influencing chi and blood flow to the area. This supports healing.
