Join us for a 6-week course in Iyengar Yoga.

All you need to do yoga is a body — in any form, poses are adapted to suit individual needs.

The beginner class is held on Wednesday evenings 5:30-7 pm. This course is suitable for those new to yoga or returning after a long break. In this class, foundation poses asanas are introduced – the emphasis is on the standing asanas, which focus on structural alignment to increase strength, stamina, and mind-body awareness. Meet your teacher. - Bernie Prestidge 🧘‍♀️
Bernie is an Armidale local practising yoga for over two decades and teaching for twelve years. To become an experienced Iyengar Yoga instructor, Bernie has completed a three-year apprenticeship and travelled to India to complete her study with Senior Iyengar teachers.
A lifelong learner, Bernie regularly works with her teacher to deepen her practice and enrich her teaching. Bernie says, “Iyengar Yoga ignited my curiosity for its dynamic aspects and attention to detail. These qualities made the beneficial effects appear to me from the start. In addition, I am drawn to the intelligent and creative use of props making yoga asana accessible for everyone.”

Outside of yoga, Bernie loves playing the Celtic fiddle, finding music a transcendent meditation that brings focus, attention, and a nice challenge for the brain cells!
