That freckle you’ve had for years, is it changing?

As a community that loves spending time outdoors, from the Surf Coast trails to the beach and backyard, it’s important to know what to look for on your own skin.

The ABCDE method is a simple, widely used guide that can help you notice changes in moles or spots that may be worth discussing with a GP:

☑️ Asymmetry: one half does not match the other
☑️ Border: edges are irregular, ragged, or blurred
☑️ Colour: uneven shades of brown, black, red, or white
☑️ Diameter: larger than 6mm or growing in size
☑️ Evolving: changing in shape, size, colour, or feel

If anything looks new, different, or concerning, it’s worth getting it checked.
