We are excited to welcome Dr Lubna Hoque to the Ridge Ascot Medical Centre team. Dr Hoque will be working Monday and Friday.

Dr Lubna Hoque is a General Practice Registrar joining the Practice this February. Her qualifications include MBBS, Master of Public Health and Diploma in Paediatrics. She has worked across various hospitals in Perth, including Joondalup Hospital, Armadale Hospital, St John of God Midland Hospital, Bunbury Hospital and Royal Perth Hospital across different specialities (General Medicine, Paediatrics, Emergency Medicine, Rehabilitation, Surgical Specialities), before embarking on GP training.

She started her career in Australia as IMG and passed Australian Medical Council exams. Her interest lies in all aspects of GP, with a keen interest in Child Health, Women’s Health, Preventive Health management and Chronic Disease management.

When not at work, Dr Hoque enjoys reading, travelling and looking after her young family.
Dr Hoque speaks English, Bangla, Urdu and Hindi.

We are excited to welcome Dr Damsi Weerawardena to the Ridge Ascot Medical Centre team. Dr Weerawardena will be working Monday to Friday.

Dr Damsi grew up in Perth and graduated from the University of Western Australia with a Doctor of Medicine. Since then, she has gained valuable experience working in Fiona Stanley Hospital, Albany Health Campus and the Perth Children's Hospital across a broad range of specialties including General Medicine, Paediatrics and Obstetrics and Gynaecology. She has a particular interest in Women's and Children's health and is currently completing a Diploma of Child Health. Damsi is also fluent in Sinhalese.

When she is not working, Damsi loves exploring bakeries and restaurants, going on long walks, knitting and travelling

We are excited to welcome Dr "Vincent" Tai Tuyen Phan to the Ridge Ascot Medical Centre team. Dr Phan will be working Monday to Thursday.

Dr Phan graduated from The University of Western Australia in 2019. Prior to coming to Ridge Medical Centre, Dr Phan was working in Albany as a rural GP Registrar where he completed his GP training in 2026. In his spare time, he enjoys social badminton at the local club, travelling, movies, and trying different foods.

With Covid-19 cases on the rise in the community, we are following the hospital’s lead and require all patients over the age of 12 years with cold and flu symptoms to wear a mask. A RAT test is to be performed and bought to the surgery at the time of your appointment to prove that you are negative. If you test positive, please DO NOT enter the surgery, please call and we will change your appointment to a telephone consultation.

The full range of symptoms of COVID-19 include fever, dry cough, congested or runny nose, tiredness and loss of taste or smell. The symptoms can also include aches and pains, nausea, vomiting, headache, sore throat, red or irritated eyes, diarrhea and sometimes can include a skin rash. Any of these symptoms will require a RAT test prior to entering the surgery.
