Looking after your health isn’t just about treating illness, it’s about preventing it.

Regular check-ups with your GP can help detect early signs of conditions such as heart disease, type 2 diabetes, and skin cancer before they progress.

Preventive care may include:
• Routine health checks
• Skin checks
• Blood pressure and cholesterol monitoring
• Screening tests appropriate for your age and risk factors

Staying proactive with your health today can make a significant difference for your future.

March is Endometriosis Awareness Month, raising awareness for a condition that affects many women across Australia.

Endometriosis occurs when tissue similar to the lining of the uterus grows outside the uterus, which can cause symptoms such as pelvic pain, painful periods, fatigue and fertility challenges.

If you are experiencing persistent pelvic pain or menstrual concerns, it’s important to speak with your GP. Early assessment and management can help improve quality of life.

World Kidney Day highlights the importance of kidney health and early detection of kidney disease.

Your kidneys play a vital role in filtering waste, balancing fluids and supporting overall health, yet kidney disease can develop silently without obvious symptoms.

Risk factors include high blood pressure, diabetes, heart disease and a family history of kidney problems.

A simple health check, including blood and urine tests, can help assess your kidney function.

Book a check-up with our team to stay proactive about your health by calling (07) 3564 6400.

March is the month of the World’s Greatest Shave, supporting Australians facing blood cancer through the incredible work of the Leukaemia Foundation.

Whether you’re shaving, cutting, colouring or donating, every action helps fund vital research and support services for patients and families navigating blood cancer.

It’s also a timely reminder to prioritise your own health as regular check-ups and early investigations matter.

If you’re participating this month, we’d love to hear your story in the comments.

March 3 marks World Hearing Day and this is a global reminder of the importance of protecting and prioritising your hearing health.

Hearing loss can develop gradually and may go unnoticed at first. If you’ve been asking people to repeat themselves, turning the volume up higher than usual, or struggling in noisy environments, it may be time for a check.

Early assessment and intervention can make a significant difference to quality of life.

Speak with our team to discuss your concerns through (07) 3564 6400 or book an appointment online.
