HELLO WOMEN OF THE CLARENCE VALLEY COMMUNITY

It's time to invite you to our next Ashby Women's Circle on Friday 13th March from 5.30 - 7.30 pm.

The Wheel of the Year is turning towards the Autumn Equinox on 21st March, The Equinox is a time of perfect balance between light and dark, ideal for setting intentions focused on gratitude and embracing grounding inward-focused energy for the coming winter months.

Our theme this month is "Creating Stillness in a Chaotic World." In a time of alarming headlines and in the often hurried rhythm of our lives, we come together to pause, slow down, and reconnect. We will share our joys, our anxieties and our resources supporting one another to find or reclaim a sense of calm and centredness.

It's helpful for us to have an idea of numbers so please let us know if you plan to come along. All women are welcome whether or not you have attended one of our circles before.

For those of you for whom Friday evenings are difficult, the following Circle will be held on Sunday 12th April from 3 - 6 pm.

Hello beautiful women ,
For many moons now I have held a deep passion for the pelvis. Women’s pelvis.

This space is more than anatomy. It is our foundation — supporting our organs, stabilising our spine, quietly influencing how safe and at home we feel in our bodies and how we manifest and
create our inner and outer worlds .
In yogic philosophy, this space relates to Muladhara ......our base energy centre of safety and belonging.....and Svadhisthana, the centre of creativity, our sensuality ,our eros and emotional flow.

But beyond philosophy and energetics , this is lived experience.

The pelvis works in relationship with the diaphragm, the throat ...... the deep abdominals the nervous system and so much more , . It is intelligent tissue. It deserves attention....
When we disconnect from the pelvis we often feel discomfort in our hips, lower back......we feel the sense of dysregulation........a disconnection from our essence .
When we reconnect, breath deepens, awareness and strength becomes integrated, we regain a sense of feeling centered and grounded.

In my classes and one on one sessions we explore this through embodied movement, breath, respectful strengthening and connecting with the subtle energy's contained within the space of the female container .

Women of the Clarence Valley
Carolyn and I warmly welcome you back to our monthly Ashby Women’s Circle.
This will be our second year holding space for these gatherings, and feel more than ever in these rapidly changing times, these circles provide a precious support system for feminine connection, friendship & sisterhood.

To be truly seen and heard is a rare gift and when it is held by other women, it becomes deeply nourishing and healing.
Shared challenges can bring comfort, and witnessing the courage, dreams, and wisdom of another woman brings inspiration.

Shalom Studio has just received a deep cleanse, ready for another year of welcoming in new energy and more offerings of embodied, supportive practices for women.

At present 2 weekly practices are being offered.

HATHA YOGA
Tuesdays 9.30–11am

A steady, supportive practice where we focus on posture, mobility, breath and body awareness. Classes move at a gentle pace, with options to modify postures to suit changing bodies and individual needs.

NOURISHING THE CORE & PELVIC GROUND
Thursdays 9.30–11am

The focal point of these classes being the pelvic ground, the deep core and associated muscles of the pelvis that support and stabilise.This practice is an invitation for all women who would like to deepen their awareness and improve the health, vitality and function of their pelvic space.

Both classes are suitable for women of all ages, with particular care for those recovering from injury, navigating stiffness or reduced mobility, and for women in pre & post pregnancy, menopause, or experiencing mild prolapse.

Shalom studio is a pleasant 20 so minute drive from Maclean and Yamba. Situated in Ashby hills set amongst natural bushland it offers a beautiful space to come home to your body, leaving you feeling grounded, centred and connected .🍂🌱🌿🤎

As this year opens..... like every year ....I’ve been reflecting on a” word” that I wish to give more energy and embodiment to.

The word that keeps returning for me is kindness and how it has the ability to soften judgement, and bring more ease into how I meet myself and others.
It reminds me to breath, listen more deeply and to honour the rhythms of my body and nervous system.

I also wish for this intention of kindness to ripple through my offerings this year — my classes, bodywork treatments, workshops and circles and the evolving final stages of Shalom Retreat which I hope to share soon.

So I'm making this year about fire horses, planetary shifts, number 1"s ....and ......kindness !

Wishing you all kindness and ease as we move into 2026 and the new beginnings that are unfolding for us all .

A few weeks ago Carolyn Dew and I had the honour of holding ceremonial space for 5 young women celebrating their rite of passage into womanhood.
Such a significant symbolic afternoon.

Deep bow to the mothers and friends who came to honour , celebrate and bless their daughters transition into the cyclic journey of womanhood .
May it create a continuity across generations to come .🙏❤️
